Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between Wilton Wise (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Jared DeMarino (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). DeMarino has chosen Killswitch Engage as his entrance music. We have two fighters making their debuts here, so let's see who comes out of this one with their first professional victory.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the heavyweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Sydney, Wilton Wise! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Sydney, Jared DeMarino! The judges for this bout are Bruno Hogan, Hugh Johnson and Donatello Bradman.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! DeMarino shoots in and scores a nice double leg takedown into half guard. We may be looking at a referee standup if the pace doesn't pick up soon. DeMarino is looking to advance position but Wise won't allow it. DeMarino is taking a breather. Wise says something to him but it's hard to make out. Perhaps he's telling him to get on with it and actually do something. Wise won't allow DeMarino to pass to mount. DeMarino takes a deep breath and rests his weight momentarily on top of his opponent, to control the position. DeMarino's corner are shouting for him to control the position and he seems happy to oblige.
The ref stands the fighters back up. Jared DeMarino was stalling too much, according to the referee. DeMarino fakes a strike and closes the distance, dragging Wise to the ground. DeMarino is now in Wise's guard.
That's one minute gone in the round. DeMarino stands up from guard. Let's bang! DeMarino closes the distance and pushes Wise back into the cage. Wise digs a right hand underneath DeMarino's ribcage. DeMarino let out a lung full of air as it connected. Wise breaks the clinch and we return to the middle of the mat. Wise gets caught napping as DeMarino dives in and scores a takedown. Wise manages to retain guard. DeMarino stops Wise from standing up. DeMarino controls the pace of the fight for a moment. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
That's two minutes gone in the round.
The ref calls for a clean break and stands the fighters back up. Jared DeMarino wasn't active enough on the ground. DeMarino drives through and clinches with Wise against the cage.
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff! Good anti-grappling being displayed by Wise as DeMarino tries to tie him up. Wise pushes off and circles away, back to the middle of the mat. DeMarino fakes with an overhand right and moves in to clinch with Wise, pushing him back against the cage. DeMarino is looking to score with knees to the body. Maybe he'll change it up and go body then head. Wise is defending well for now. Wise swings away with an uppercut that misses.
DeMarino has picked Wise up - he's going for a ride! DeMarino dumps his opponent to the mat with a thud and settles into half guard. Wise is looking to control DeMarino's leg but it's slowly edging free. Can Wise avoid being mounted?
That's three minutes gone in the round. DeMarino tries to stand but his arm is trapped. Neither fighter is being very active at the moment, with DeMarino in particular looking to stall. DeMarino should think about turning a few of those tyres round his middle into muscle if he wants people to take him seriously as an athlete. We've had a lack of effective grappling in the last minute or so, which could well see a referee standup.
Jared DeMarino has forced the referee to step in and restart the fight on the feet. Wise clinches.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Wise struggles to land a body shot inside as DeMarino controls his hands.
Wise has had enough of the clinch but DeMarino keeps him there for the moment. DeMarino blocks a body shot from Wise. The referee calls for DeMarino to work.
Wise tries to work over DeMarino's body with a swooping hook but it only glances the target. DeMarino jumps into guard, dragging Wise to the mat.
The fighters are starting to get a bit slippery now, which will make submissions a bit more difficult. Wise working some ground and pound from guard but it's not doing any damage. As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action. DeMarino manages to sweep nicely, so he's now on top. Wise manages to get himself to full guard.
Wise being controlled here, momentarily. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Jared DeMarino dominated that round. The referee calls time. The cornermen exit stage left and we're back to business.
DeMarino gets tackled into the cage by Wise. Wise maintains the clinch. Wise breaks the clinch and we return to the middle of the mat. DeMarino shoots in for a takedown! He's got it and he's managed to land in side control! That's better than DeMarino was expecting from the takedown attempt, I'm sure! DeMarino tries for a kimura but Wise is defending well. DeMarino content to control the pace. The referee will try and keep them active though. DeMarino is looking to take a break and control but Wise is keeping him honest, looking to work from the bottom.
That's one minute gone in the round. DeMarino postures up a little and throws a couple of hammerfists but they don't connect properly.
Jared DeMarino has got the better of the ground game so far. DeMarino wants to lay and pray for a moment but Wise keeps working. DeMarino working the ground and pound but Wise is defending the strikes. Wise struggling a bit here. Wise is trying to improve his position.
That's two minutes gone in the round. DeMarino working the head and body with strikes. Wise prevents DeMarino from moving into mount. DeMarino throws a strike aimed at the side of Wise's head but Wise avoids it well. DeMarino slows the pace down. DeMarino decides to take the fight back to the feet. DeMarino throws a loose over hand right and dives in with a double leg takedown. Wise tries to sprawl but it's too late and the fighters hit the mat. DeMarino is in Wise's guard.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Wise preventing the ground and pound from doing any damage. DeMarino controls from within his opponent's guard. Wise trying to control the position.
DeMarino advances position into side control! The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. DeMarino trying to control the position but Wise is working away. DeMarino decides to stand back up.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Wise misses with a body punch
and DeMarino counters with a three punch combo that has Wise backing up. Wise nods at DeMarino to acknowledge the strikes. Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here. DeMarino feints and then dives in with a takedown. That was a long way out but the feint bought him enough time to close the distance and complete the takedown. Now we'll play guard for a bit and see who can get the better of that position. This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff! DeMarino with a flurry of punches that miss. DeMarino throws a big right hand that misses. Wise keeping moving, preventing DeMarino from controlling successfully. DeMarino not doing a lot at the moment. He'll have to show some more aggression or the fight will get stood up. As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action. DeMarino throwing elbows and punches but not connecting, as Wise works some decent striking defense from the bottom. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Jared DeMarino showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards. The referee calls time. The cornermen exit stage left and we're back to business. Let's get this one finished - here comes the final round!
Wise throws out a loose jab but DeMarino uses good head movement to avoid it. Wilton Wise is looking to throw some combinations by the looks of things. Wise pulls out of a head kick attempt.
DeMarino closes the distance and gets a double leg, slamming Wise to the mat! Wise manages to get full guard. DeMarino throws an elbow that misses. Wise uses the momentum to reverse the position. He's now in DeMarino's guard. Nice move by Wise! DeMarino has been the more effective fighter overall so far. Wise postures up in DeMarino's guard and throws a big left but DeMarino blocks it. DeMarino is trying to keep Wise in close.
Wise is in close to DeMarino's body, working some short punches and elbows. Wise will need to keep those long limbs tucked in whilst he's on the ground, to prevent any submissions. Wise preventing the sweep.
That's one minute gone in the round. Wise postures up to throw the ground and pound strikes but they don't connect. DeMarino looking for a sweep. Not yet DeMarino, not yet. Wise stands up over DeMarino, holding his feet. He dives back in and lands a decent shot to the head. DeMarino controls Wise momentarily but Wise frees himself. DeMarino trying to strike from the bottom but really, it's not the best position to be doing that from! DeMarino looking to control.
DeMarino is wriggling around but Wise manages to pass to half guard.
DeMarino wants to get back to full guard.
That's two minutes gone in the round. DeMarino is trying to control but can't.
Wise not throwing his punches with enough precision this time. DeMarino pushes Wise off and gets back to his feet. Wise rushes DeMarino and presses him up against the cage. Wise presses DeMarino against the cage and delivers a mid-strength body shot. Wise doesn't land with the attempted body shot.
Wise working hard to break the clinch. Wise is looking to break free of the clinch but DeMarino has double underhooks. DeMarino wants the takedown. Wise is fighting it off but DeMarino persists and manages to bring the fight to the ground, ending up in Wise's guard against the cage. Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd. DeMarino is stalling in the full guard.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Both fighters are breathing heavily. Wise working for a triangle but DeMarino defends it easily.

That's four minutes gone in the round. DeMarino loading up with the ground and pound but he's missing more than he's landing in this flurry. DeMarino throwing strikes from guard but Wise blocks nicely. Jared DeMarino is fighting for a decision - hopefully he's judged it right and he's actually winning the fight. DeMarino slows down the pace of the fight for a moment. He'll need to remain active if he doesn't want to see the fight stood back up.
And that's the end of the fight! Jared DeMarino comfortably won the final round on my scorecard. I've got DeMarino winning every round here. Surely the decision will go his way and he'll pick up a well deserved decision victory. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
