Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the super heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 1 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Hilo, Arlen Randall!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Hilo, Yuchean Park!
The judges for this bout are Jeff Smith, Micheangelo Fripello and Ryoma Takatsuka.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Park wants to clinch

so Randall counters with a double leg into guard. Good agility.
Randall prevents Park from getting back to his feet.
Park really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Randall. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out.
Park is wriggling around but Randall manages to pass to half guard.
Park trying to get back to full guard but Randall takes advantage of the position and moves to full mount!

Randall misses with a series of strikes from mount. He'll no doubt be working on his ground and pound when he gets back to the gym.
Randall unloads with some shots from mount but Park bucks and avoids them well.
Randall avoids the attempt from Park to control.

Park is working to get back to half guard.
Park tries to control Randall's body but Randall pushes him off. Park squirms to his side and now Randall has his back!

Randall is working for the rear naked choke. He has one arm under the chin but Park has hold of the other arm. A bit of a stalemate here.
Randall slows the pace down here. Having a little breather whilst he's in a dominant position, looking to rest and regain some energy, ready to go for the finish.

The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

Randall is staying calm and holding on to the back position, whilst working on a rear naked choke. Park is defending well though. Randall let's go of the attempt for now.
Randall is riding his opponent, not letting Park buck him off.
The crowd applaud the fighters efforts here as the round comes to an end.

Park darts in looking for a takedown but Randall gets double underhooks and turns Park into the cage.

There's a bit of a scramble here and now Randall is on top in guard.
Randall could do with losing a few pounds - he looks very soft around the mid section, to put it politely.

Randall gets to his feet - Park follows without any prompting.

Randall drives through and clinches with Park against the cage.

Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.

Randall breaks the clinch and we're back to striking at distance.

Randall closes the distance and clinches up, looking for a takedown. He shifts his weight and gets a nice trip into half guard.
Randall is looking to pass the guard... He's managed it - he's now in full mount!

Randall lands a big elbow.

Randall is thinking about an arm triangle here, looking to tighten it up before moving to side control. Park can see it coming though and defends well with a couple of strikes to the head and some good arm positioning.

Randall is standing up, even though he is in mount.

Randall shoots in from a long way out. He's driving through with the takedown attempt and he eventually gets it, landing in Park's guard.
Park utilising some decent striking defenses from the guard, preventing the ground and pound.

Randall is really dominating this fight. Is there anything that Park can do to turn this around?
The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here.
Randall takes a little breather and maintains the position. The referee will be looking for him to stay active from such a dominant position though.
As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.
Park holding onto his opponent's waist for dear life, as Randall tries to land some strikes to get him to release his grip.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Randall clinches up with Park and pushes him back against the cage.
A bit of stalling here from Randall.

Randall breaks the clinch and we return to the middle of the mat.
Randall dives in and grabs Park's left leg, looking for a takedown. Park pushes down on Randall's head and hops out.
Park shoots in for a double leg but Randall sprawls well. That's going to sap some energy.
Randall gets cracked there but stands up to it.
Randall slaps away a takedown attempt from Park, before circling back to the center of the mat.

Park takes a big intake of breath there - he's definitely tired.
Randall tries to score a power double leg takedown but Park sees that one coming and sprawls well. That will dishearten Randall somewhat.

Randall is working on an americana here. Ooh, that looks pretty nasty! Nope, Park has managed to escape the submission attempt.
Randall tucks in and makes sure he doesn't lose the dominant position.

Well I reckon that's a shut out for Randall, winning every round. Will the judges agree? They are the ones who matter, even if they are often depressingly incompetent. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
