Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Jesse Custer (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Phil Ivey (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). The crowd seem to be enjoying Ivey's choice of entrance music: Friday. Both fighters look fresh as a daisy as they make their way towards the cage.

41 - 16 - 0, fighting out of London, Phil Ivey! The judges for this bout are , Frank Antenori and Jack Bonds.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Ivey throws a hook but Custer blocks it. Custer lands a nice leg kick that just misses Ivey's sensitive parts. Sloppy strikes from Ivey. Those never looked like landing. Ivey misses with a lunging right hand
and Custer counters with a shoot takedown into half guard. Ivey felt the need to train up his defensive grappling in the buildup to the fight. Presumably he was expecting to be in a difficult position like this, so let's see if he can get out of it. Custer winds up and cracks Ivey with a swinging punch to the side of the head. Custer wants to pass to mount but Ivey is defending the position. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Custer is keeping good posture, landing some ground and pound. Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show! Custer controlling the action here. Ivey is looking for a sweep. Custer is wise to his cunning plan and keeps the top position. Custer thumps the canvas. Not on purpose obviously - he just missed Ivey's head. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Ivey is refusing to be controlled, as Custer sits in half guard. The fighters are battling for position here. Ivey manages to regain full guard. Nice work.
That's one minute gone in the round. Custer passes into half guard under a barage of strikes. Custer prevents Ivey from improving his position. Custer tries to pass the half guard into mount. Ivey knows what he's doing though and prevents the attempt. Custer thows a huge punch but Ivey dodges it nicely.

Custer keeps hold of his opponent and drives him back against the cage. Ivey lands a body punch. Custer working some nice short punches in the clinch.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Custer has Ivey pressed against the cage, preventing Ivey from circling away and getting back to striking at range. Both fighters working to control the clinch. Custer seems a little flustered. He's come in with the intention of controlling the clinch but Ivey is preventing him from doing so, at least for the moment. Ivey misses with some punches.

Custer trying to control the position but instead, Ivey has worked for underhooks and has pushed Custer into the cage. Custer tries to throw a body punch but Ivey avoids it by throwing Custer back against the cage. Custer scores with an uppercut up the middle. Custer stalling here - the referee won't stand for too much of that.

The fighters are starting to get sweaty, which will make takedowns a bit more tricky. Ivey's corner calls for him to break the clinch, which he does. Phil Ivey is looking to keep the fight on the feet at all costs. Ivey pulls out of a head kick attempt.
Ivey wants to land a leg kick but Custer is out of range. Ivey throws a hook to the body but it doesn't connect.

and Ivey decides to take the opportunity to score a takedown. He's landed in Custer's guard. Ivey trying to control but Custer is working from the bottom. Ivey is just sitting in guard, looking to avoid any submissions. Ivey lying in Custer's guard like a wet fish here, stalling away. Custer decides he's had enough of all that nonsense - he escapes his hips and locks up an armbar! Wow, that was slick! Ivey taps! This one is aaaaaaaaaaall over!
