Coming up we have a featherweight MMA rules bout between Robledo Puch (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Helppo Nakki (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Both fighters look fresh as a daisy as they make their way towards the cage.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the featherweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 6 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Helsinki, Robledo Puch!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 7 - 3 - 0, fighting out of Helsinki, Helppo Nakki!
The judges for this bout are Illya Tyunina, Vladimir Khabensky and Igor Prikhodko.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Nakki cracks a nice hook into Puch's ribs.
Nakki fakes a jab and then connects with a hook.

Puch shoots in looking for a single leg takedown. Nakki is trying to defend but Puch finishes it well and ends up in half guard. Let's see if he can advance position further.
Nakki is looking to regain full guard. Not this time though.
Puch trying to control from half guard but Nakki is working away.
Puch with a momentary lay and pray from half guard.
Nakki trying to control from the bottom.
Puch stalling.

That's one minute gone in the round.
Puch seems to have a rather negative gameplan on the ground. He seems keen to just score the takedown and hold down Nakki for as long as he can get away with.

The ref stands the fighters back up. Robledo Puch wasn't doing enough on the ground.

Puch closes the distance and looks for a trip takedown... aaaand he's got it - Puch lands in his opponent's guard.

Nakki isolates an arm and boxes in a triangle. Puch stacks Nakki on his neck as he steps over and passes to the side. He's now in a much more dominant position where he can look to do some serious damage. Nice move by Puch!
Nakki is working to avoid the ground and pound but Puch connects with a decent elbow.

Puch looking for an arm triangle but it's way too loose to do anything.
The referee tells the fighters to keep busy.
Nakki felt the need to train up his defensive grappling in the buildup to the fight. Presumably he was expecting to be in a difficult position like this, so let's see if he can get out of it.

That's two minutes gone in the round.
Puch scores with punches from side control.

Puch is looking to finish here, going for an Americana. Nakki knows the correct defense though, so he's OK.
The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so!
Puch lands a decent elbow from side control.
Nakki on the wrong end of some ground and pound.


Nakki is rocked!

Puch tries for a kimura. Not really close to a finish though.
Nakki is still in real trouble! Can Puch finish him?
Puch taking a breather here.
Puch wants to control for a moment but Nakki uses the opportunity to move back to half guard.
Nakki seems to have recovered his senses.

That's three minutes gone in the round.
Nakki on the receiving end of some nice ground and pound.
Puch is nestled in close to Nakki, controlling him well. He's worked in a nice elbow to the side of the head as well, for good measure.
Nakki wants to sweep but Puch has passed to side control!
Nakki is looking to regain half guard here but Puch keeps moving and retains side control.
Puch working away diligently from side control. Landing strikes effectively there - that will score him some points on the judges scorecards.
Nakki is trying to escape the position but Puch is controlling the position.
Puch in side control here. He's dropped a big elbow there and Nakki looks hurt! Oh, he is hurt! Puch turns on the heat and pounds him out for a TKO victory! Good killer instinct there!

Ladies and gentlemen, after 4:59 of round 1, we have a winner by way of TKO (Strikes). Robledo Puch!
Robledo Puch was full of energy after the big win and talked about how he thinks he can do big things in this sport. The crowd were appreciative of his determination to succeed.
