Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Toby Fluke (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Rey Malapitan (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Fluke comes to the cage accompanied by Jiu Jitsu. Toby Fluke has the better chin. Will he look to stand and bang today?

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
5 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Los Angeles, Toby Fluke! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
6 - 6 - 0, fighting out of Los Angeles, Rey Malapitan! The judges for this bout are Jack Bonds, Frank Antenori and Timothy Bukovac.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Fluke throws a head kick but Malapitan moves out of range.
Fluke gets his takedown attempt stuffed easily and Malapitan counters with a nice single leg takedown and he's in Fluke's guard now. Malapitan tries to free his leg and advance position but Fluke is retaining full guard. Malapitan passes Fluke's left leg - he's now in half guard. Malapitan is sneakily working for an arm triangle but Fluke sees it coming and defends easily. Malapitan is looking for a kimura. It's going to be difficult to finish that from half guard though and Fluke defends it well. Malapitan is thinking about going for an arm triangle but he can't free his leg.
Malapitan wants to pass the guard but Fluke is defending well. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
That's one minute gone in the round. Malapitan works his way into full mount! The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Malapitan postures up and cracks his opponent a couple of times before moving back into close ground control. Fluke looks a forlorn figure.
Malapitan has his opponent pinned against the cage, landing some nasty ground and pound that is really making a bit of a mess out of Fluke's face.
It looks like Toby Fluke has been cut. Malapitan lands a big shot there that rocks Fluke but he's holding on and managing to survive for now.
Toby Fluke's cut is getting worse. Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show! Malapitan cracks Fluke with a big head shot that has him covering up instantly! He's rolled onto his side and the referee has seen enough - this one is aaaaaaaaaaall over!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 2:57 of round 1, we have a winner by way of TKO (Strikes). Rey Malapitan! Rey Malapitan was full of energy after the big win and talked about how he thinks he can do big things in this sport. The crowd were appreciative of his determination to succeed. Toby Fluke was interviewed post fight and said 'Wasn't even trying that fight, but I would win in a rematch.'.
