Coming up we have a featherweight MMA rules bout between Mauricio Mack (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Brando McFacemasher (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Mauricio Mack has the edge in experience - let's see if he can make that count tonight.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the featherweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 2 - 2 - 0, fighting out of London, Mauricio Mack!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of London, Brando McFacemasher!
The judges for this bout are Richard Clark, William Gold and Chris Edwards.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

McFacemasher has taken the fight to the clinch.
Mack prevents the takedown attempt.

Mack jumps guard and drags McFacemasher to the mat. He's obviously going to be looking for submissions off his back.
McFacemasher trying to control but Mack is working from the bottom.
Mack on his back here. We all know that wrestlers don't like being on their back so let's see if Mack tries to get out of the position.
McFacemasher trying to stand up but can't free himself from Mack's guard.

McFacemasher has gone for a leg lock! Mack slips out almost immediately though and dives into McFacemasher's guard.
Mack has decided he wants to stand but the closed guard of McFacemasher is proving hard to escape from.
Mack forces his way into half guard.
McFacemasher is trying to get back to full guard.
Mack will need to keep those long limbs tucked in whilst he's on the ground, to prevent any submissions.

Mack stalling away here and it's allowed McFacemasher to slip out his trapped foot and regain full guard.
McFacemasher keeping moving, preventing Mack from controlling successfully.
McFacemasher wants to improve his position but instead Mack has moved into half guard.
McFacemasher is trying to stand back up but Mack is controlling him

McFacemasher is looking for a sweep. Mack is wise to his cunning plan and keeps the top position.
Mack looking to pass the half guard. Not this time.

Mack is trying for a guillotine from the top but the pressure isn't in the right place so McFacemasher is just riding it out for now. Mack eventually gives up the hold.
McFacemasher is working for an escape here. He's hooked one of Mack's legs and he's managed to sneak out and take Mack's back!

Mack tries to break free.
McFacemasher wants to control but Mack is keeping busy.

McFacemasher working for a choke but Mack is defending well.
McFacemasher avoiding Mack 's attempts to control his hands.
McFacemasher is looking to finish with some ground and pound!
Mack wants to escape the position.
Mack manages to reverse the position and now he's in McFacemasher's guard. Nice work there by Mack.
Mack really does look like a pencil wearing a pair of gloves. Let's hope he has a gameplan to suit that ridiculous body shape.
McFacemasher is avoiding any damage by keeping wrist control.

Mack wants to get up but he can't break McFacemasher's closed guard. He needs to be careful trying to break the legs open, as he's open to submissions here.
Mack advances to half guard.
McFacemasher is pressing down on Mack's left leg trying to get back to full guard. He's managed it.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Mack is stalling in the full guard.
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!
The crowd applaud the fighters efforts here as the round comes to an end.
Mack trying to pass the guard but can't manage it just yet.

That was a close round but I would say that Mauricio Mack will probably get the nod.
That's time! Mack's corner gives him a slap on the ass as he gets ready to fight.



McFacemasher gets caught flat footed, as Mack shoots in with a quick takedown into guard.
Mack wants to stand and escape but instead McFacemasher has hit a sweep and he's now on top in guard.
McFacemasher wants to control from the top but Mack keeps moving.
Mack is trying to control the position from the bottom.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
McFacemasher loading up with the ground and pound but he's missing more than he's landing in this flurry.
McFacemasher in full guard, throwing the ground and pound. No damage this time.
McFacemasher missing there with some ground and pound from the guard.
McFacemasher trying to control the position from guard on top but Mack is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can.

Mack has a closed guard, preventing anything of note from happening. Perhaps he's looking to stall.
McFacemasher wants to control from the top but Mack keeps moving.

It looks like we're going to have a standup here. Neither fighter is doing enough on the ground.
McFacemasher shoots in looking for a takedown. Mack tries to sprawl out of it but McFacemasher keeps driving through. The fighters are pinned against the cage. Mack manages to get underhooks and after a bit of a struggle, circles away and we're back to standing.
Mack throws a head kick that misses and slips in the process. He scrambles back to his feet and the fighters circle.

Nice takedown defense from Mack. No joy for McFacemasher on that attempt.

McFacemasher shoots in for a takedown from distance. He catches Mack napping and manages to drive through into side control!
Mack is pushing McFacemasher's head away, looking to escape. McFacemasher manages to hold on to the position though.

McFacemasher looking for an arm triangle but it's way too loose to do anything.
McFacemasher is breathing heavily.
McFacemasher lands a few punches from side control.
Mack wants to get back to his feet but McFacemasher is dominant here and he's now got Mack's back!
McFacemasher controlling well, preventing Mack from escaping the position.
The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here.
McFacemasher lands a punch that was close to the back of the head but the ref thinks it's OK.

That's three minutes gone in the round.
McFacemasher lands with a couple of good shots - one to the side of the head and one questionable shot that could be viewed as to the back of the head but the referee lets it go.

McFacemasher is not going to allow Mack to sit and survive in this position.

McFacemasher is looking for a rear naked choke here but Mack reverses the position brilliantly into McFacemasher's guard!

Mack drops back, looking for a kneebar! McFacemasher looks panicked! The fighters roll across the mat, one looking to finish, one looking to escape. McFacemasher looks to have wriggled free... Yes, he's got his leg free and he's dived into side control! Good work there from McFacemasher!
McFacemasher wants to lay and pray for a moment but Mack keeps working.
As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.

McFacemasher goes for an armbar! This could be all over! Wait, no, Mack rolls with the submission and now he's on top in McFacemasher's guard! Nice work there by Mack!
Mack trying to control but McFacemasher is working from the bottom.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Brando McFacemasher showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards.
The corners get their ten second warning. Both fighters stand from their stools and stare eachother down, ready to get back to the action. This is the final round!


McFacemasher tries a switch kick but it misses it's target.
Mack fails with an attempt to clinch.
McFacemasher tries to land a leg kick but Mack saw it coming and moves away.

Mack throws a loose over hand right and dives in with a double leg takedown. McFacemasher tries to sprawl but it's too late and the fighters hit the mat. Mack is in McFacemasher's guard.
Mack wants to stand but McFacemasher has a closed guard, so he can't escape.
Mack is taking a break and basically stalling. The referee will not allow him to do that for long.
Mack is looking to work some ground and pound but McFacemasher has wrist control.
McFacemasher has his hands on Mack's head, controlling the position.

McFacemasher looking to control but Mack passes into half guard.
Mack controlling the action here.
McFacemasher is trying to stand up here but Mack is controlling him well.
Mack throwing punches and elbows but they're not doing any damage.

Mack thows a huge punch but McFacemasher dodges it nicely.
Mack prevents McFacemasher from standing back up.
McFacemasher holds on for dear life, maintaining half guard for now.
McFacemasher takes a big intake of breath there - he's definitely tired.
The referee is asking the fighters to pick up the pace.

Well, the referee has seen enough. Neither fighter is active enough on the ground so he's stood them back up.
Boom, another hit is landed. "You're gunna get knocked out" taunts Mack, as that shot connected.
Mack takes a body punch that cleary hurt but he's trying not to show any weakness.
Mack tries to clinch but McFacemasher is having none of it.
Mack shoots in for a double leg but McFacemasher sprawls well. That's going to sap some energy.
The fight stays on the outside here - Mack looks like he's thinking about clinching though.
Mack fails with a takedown attempt.
Mack misses with a takedown attempt. He shot from a bit too far out.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Mauricio Mack. That's going to take a lot out of him.

Mack avoids the clinch attempt nicely.
Mack fails with the takedown.
McFacemasher tries to close the distance and clinch but Mack swats him to one side with an open hand palm strike and circles away.
Mack tries to clinch but McFacemasher moves out of range.
Mack slaps away a takedown attempt from McFacemasher, before circling back to the center of the mat.

McFacemasher forces Mack back against the cage and clinches.
Mack content to slow the pace in the clinch.

McFacemasher gets a nice trip takedown into half guard.

Mack is trying to maintain the position but McFacemasher is very close to passing his half guard.
Ground and pound from McFacemasher.
McFacemasher is thwarting Mack's attempts to control the position.
Mack is controlling McFacemasher's trapped leg to prevent McFacemasher from advancing to side control.
The crowd applaud the fighters efforts here as the round comes to an end.
McFacemasher perhaps working for something from half guard, or maybe not. It looks like he's just sitting there.

And that's the end of the fight!
That was a close round. You could make an argument for either fighter but I would give it to Mauricio Mack.
I think Mack has won this one but let's see what the judges have to say. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
