Coming up we have a bantamweight MMA rules bout between Lamont Powell (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Park Hae Hae (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Park Hae Hae will no doubt be trying to keep this one on the feet, where he has a distinct advantage.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the bantamweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
3 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Tokyo, Lamont Powell! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Tokyo, Park Hae Hae! The judges for this bout are Shigeki Sano, Yukihiro Yamamoto and Kenichi Hosakawa.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Hae Hae shoots in for a takedown but doesn't get it. Powell lands a jab. Then a cross. Then finally a nice hook to the body. Good work there by Powell. A head kick misses from Hae Hae. Hae Hae dives in for a single leg takedown but Powell sprawls and the fighters end up clinched against the cage. Hae Hae avoids a wild elbow strike from Powell. Powell is trying to pull guard but Hae Hae turns him against the cage and we stay in the clinch. With the two fighters working up against the cage, Hae Hae just misses with a elbow thrown towards Powell's brow. Hae Hae can't break the clinch.
Hae Hae has had enough of the clinch and is looking to separate. Hae Hae wants to get back to striking at distance but Powell won't allow it.
Powell successfully pulls guard.
We may be looking at a referee standup if the pace doesn't pick up soon. Powell pulls Hae Hae in close to his closed guard and prevents Hae Hae from doing any damage or advancing position. Hae Hae drops back looking for a heel hook - he quickly realises he's not going to get it but Powell manages to dive on top of him before he can escape and now Hae Hae has Powell in his guard.
That's one minute gone in the round. Powell stops Hae Hae from standing up. Powell pressing down on his opponent's thigh, looking to pass guard. Hae Hae is keeping the position for now. Powell is looking to stand up but Hae Hae won't let him. Powell has to be careful here, sitting in the guard of a superior BJJ player.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Powell is just sitting in guard, looking to avoid any submissions. Hae Hae is looking for a triangle but Powell pushes his legs off easily.

Powell is standing up over Hae Hae. Hae Hae looks to escape but Powell dives into side control.

That's three minutes gone in the round. Hae Hae tries to get back to half guard but can't. Powell looking for an arm triangle but it's way too loose to do anything. Powell working the head with strikes. Powell tries to get to his feet but he's trapped momentarily. You can see the frustration on Hae Hae's face, being in this tough position on the bottom.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Hae Hae tries to get back to half guard but can't. Hae Hae regains half guard. Powell controlling the pace. Hae Hae actively working from the bottom here. The crowd applaud the fighters efforts here as the round comes to an end. Hae Hae is defending against the submission attempts here by Powell.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Lamont Powell dominated that round. The corners get their ten second warning. Both fighters stand from their stools and stare eachother down, ready to get back to the action.
Powell tries to clinch but Hae Hae moves out of range. Hae Hae darts in trying to clinch and Powell counters by moving into the clinch. Good anticipation by Powell. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Powell pushes off and circles away, back to the middle of the mat. Powell checks the leg kick. Hae Hae fakes high and shoots in for a takedown but Powell avoids it really well and circles away. Hae Hae showing good head movement there, avoiding the strikes from Powell.
That's one minute gone in the round. Powell ducks under a wild hook from Hae Hae. Hae Hae tries for a takedown but Powell sees it coming a mile off and avoids it easily. Hae Hae tries to close the distance and clinch up but Powell swats him away and circles back towards the center. Hae Hae misses with a takedown and Powell holds on and brings the fighters into a clinch. Lamont Powell has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Park Hae Hae. Hae Hae tries for a takedown. No joy.
Hae Hae is breathing heavily. Hae Hae breaks from the clinch.
Powell fakes with an overhand right and moves in to clinch with Hae Hae, pushing him back against the cage.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Hae Hae is trying to work out of this bad position, with his back against the cage. Hae Hae gets underhooks to prevent Powell's takedown attempt.
Hae Hae is trying to break the clinch but Powell has him pressed against the cage. Powell jumps guard but Hae Hae stands there with Powell around his waist. Powell gives up and drops back to his feet. We remain in the clinch.

Powell's corner calls for him to break the clinch, which he does. Powell gets caught on his heels momentarily as he allows Hae Hae to score an easy takedown into full guard. Hae Hae won't allow Powell to sweep him here.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Hae Hae wants to control from the top but Powell keeps moving. Powell throwing his legs up looking for a triangle.

That's four minutes gone in the round. The referee is pacing around the two fighters - he looks like he's thinking about a standup. Powell manages to sweep nicely, so he's now on top. Hae Hae manages to get himself to full guard.
Powell is intent on slowing down the pace of the fight, simply looking to control. Powell seems to have a rather negative gameplan on the ground. He seems keen to just score the takedown and hold down Hae Hae for as long as he can get away with.
It looks like we're going to have a standup here. Neither fighter is doing enough on the ground. A combination from Powell does no damage. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
That was a close second round but I would say that Lamont Powell will probably get the nod. That's time! Powell's corner gives him a slap on the ass as he gets ready to fight. This is the final round!
Hae Hae shoots in for a takedown and gets it. It looks like Hae Hae is going to stand back up.
Powell on his back here. We all know that wrestlers don't like being on their back so let's see if Powell tries to get out of the position. Hae Hae thows a wild elbow that connects with the canvas. Park Hae Hae has got the better of the ground game so far. Powell wants to improve his position but Hae Hae is controlling well.
Hae Hae is looking for a kimura but Powell is holding onto that half guard position, so it's hard for Hae Hae to get the leverage. Powell holds on for dear life, maintaining half guard for now.
That's one minute gone in the round. Hae Hae prevents Powell from improving his position. Powell blocking the ground and pound attempt from Hae Hae. Powell is looking to control Hae Hae's leg but it's slowly edging free. Can Powell avoid being mounted? Powell holds on for dear life, maintaining half guard for now. It looks like the ref is thinking about a standup. Hae Hae trying to control the action but Powell is working from the bottom.
The referee decides to stand the fighters back up, due to lack of activity on the part of Lamont Powell. Hae Hae connects with a high kick.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Powell tries to clinch but Hae Hae is having none of it. Hae Hae tries to clinch but Powell moves out of range. Lamont Powell is looking to throw some combinations by the looks of things. Powell moves into the clinch. Powell breaks the clinch.
Powell looking to shoot here. He's gone for it and he's landed a takedown into side control! Oh, that's bad for Hae Hae! We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out! Powell wants to lay and pray for a moment but Hae Hae keeps working. Hae Hae takes a big intake of breath there - he's definitely tired. Powell tries to stand but Hae Hae is controlling his head.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Powell working away diligently from side control. Landing strikes effectively there - that will score him some points on the judges scorecards.
Hae Hae manages to work his way to half guard, despite Powell's best efforts. Powell controlling the action here. Hae Hae scrambles, trying to get to his feet, but Powell manages to mount him!
Hae Hae is looking to improve his position but Powell isn't that keen on the idea.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Powell working for a submission but Hae Hae is keeping him at bay. Powell looking to control but Hae Hae is working nicely, looking to advance position himself. Hae Hae wants to try and get back to his feet. Park Hae Hae has stepped it up - he knows he needs a finish here! Lamont Powell is fighting for a decision here - he's started to take the cautious approach. The crowd applaud the fighters efforts here as the round comes to an end. Powell looking to control and managing it successfully.
And that's the end of the fight! That was a close round. You could make an argument for either fighter but I would give it to Lamont Powell. Well I reckon that's a shut out for Powell, winning every round. Will the judges agree? They are the ones who matter, even if they are often depressingly incompetent.
