Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Ahkmed Ufalopolaus (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Mike Thastrom (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Ufalopolaus comes to the cage accompanied by Shabnami Soraya - Az Kudumi Safar. There are an array of beautiful celebrities at ringside tonight! I wonder if any of them paid for their tickets.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Thastrom fails to land with the punch combination there - jab, cross, hook, miss, miss, miss.
Ufalopolaus misses with an uppercut. Thastrom saw that one coming.

Ufalopolaus fakes an overhand right and shoots for a takedown. Thastrom sprawls well initially but Ufalopolaus persists and gets the takedown into half guard.
Ufalopolaus wants to free his trapped foot but Thastrom is holding on for dear life with his legs.
Thastrom wants to control but Ufalopolaus is keeping busy.
We get told so often about how wrestlers don't like to be on their backs. Let's see if Thastrom can do anything to dispel that myth.

Thastrom really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Ufalopolaus. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out.

Thastrom slows down the pace of the fight, as he sits in guard.

Ufalopolaus had isolated an arm as going for an omaplata. Thastrom is defending the submission well but is in a very vulnerable position. Ufalopolaus Is leaning forward trying to finish the omaplata but decides to abandon it, and take Thastrom's back instead.
