Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.

The judges for this bout are Summer Carpenter, Steve Erwin and Damien Edna.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Barron gets in close and instigates a clinch.
Mcbride fails to pull the fight into his guard.
Mcbride tries to score a body lock takedown but Barron shows good agility there to stay on his feet.
Barron is a painfully thin specimen of a man. You do wonder whether a good body kick would snap him clean in two.
Mcbride fails to pull guard.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Kareem Mcbride. That's going to take a lot out of him.
Mcbride jumps guard and drags Barron to the mat. He's obviously going to be looking for submissions off his back.
The referee looks like he's ready to step in and stand the fighters back up.
Mcbride is trying to stand up but he's not managed so far.
Barron pressing down on his opponent's thigh, looking to pass guard. Mcbride is keeping the position for now.
Barron wants to control from the top but Mcbride keeps moving.
Barron passes into half guard.
Barron works his way into side control.

It looks like Kareem Mcbride has been cut.

Barron can't quite control the action as he would like just now, as Mcbride is looking to escape.

The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Barron landing with strikes to the body and head, softening up his opponent.

The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Mcbride is looking to reverse the position.
Mcbride might be looking to lock onto one of his opponent's long limbs for a submission, whilst we're on the ground.

Barron tries to move to mount but Mcbride blocks the move with his legs.
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!
Barron is looking to take a break and control but Mcbride is keeping him honest, looking to work from the bottom.
Barron works to advance to full mount. Mcbride defends for a few seconds but eventually he succumbs.
The fighters are starting to perspire pretty heavily.
Mcbride is squirming around, avoiding Barron's attempts to control the action.
That's two minutes gone in the round.
Barron lands an elbow that was bordering on illegal but the referee lets it go with a warning.
Kareem Mcbride's cut is getting worse.
Barron has the superior BJJ but he's also working some ground strikes into his gameplan.
Mcbride is squirming around, avoiding Barron's attempts to control the action.
Barron lands a big shot there that rocks Mcbride but he's holding on and managing to survive for now.
You get the feeling that Mcbride really doesn't like being in this position too much.
Barron raining down hammerfists from mount.
Jeez, Kareem Mcbride's cut is really nasty now. The referee must be thinking about getting that checked.
The referee calls the doctor in to look at Kareem Mcbride's cut. Oh no, the doctor has called an end to the bout!
