The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Kazama looking for a takedown here - he's got it.
Kazama wants to stand but Sampson is controlling his posture from full guard.
Sampson is looking to stand back up... there's a bit of a scramble and Kazama dives into side control.
Kazama tries to advance to mount but Sampson denies him.
A lull in the action here as Kazama stalls from top position.
Sampson is not content to let Kazama control the position.

Sampson tries to improve position but can't.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

Kazama is in a dominant position here, looking for a kimura. Sampson looks calm but he's in trouble here. Kazama gets his leg over his opponent's head and yanks on the arm. Sampson is tapping like a morse code operator on the titanic! SOS! SOS! Kazama lets go of the hold and Sampson can pop his arm back in it's socket.
