Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Lars Thunstrom (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and King Marvin (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Thunstrom's entrance music is Prodigy - Spitfire. A fine choice. The crowd seem to be enjoying Marvin's choice of entrance music: King of Kings by Motorhead. King Marvin has the eye of the tiger tonight.

The judges for this bout are John Roberts, Russell Pearce and Eddie Farnsworth.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
A looping hook to the body misses from Thunstrom. Marvin does a little dance to reset his feet.
Thunstrom throws a right and a left that both miss.
Thunstrom swings and misses with a hook to the body.
Marvin lands a jab.
Thunstrom ducks down and throws a hook to the body but Marvin moves away.
Marvin throws a shot from downtown. Thunstrom moves away and avoids it.

This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!
Marvin makes a bit of distance and scores with some ground and pound, still in guard.
Marvin has the superior BJJ but he's also working some ground strikes into his gameplan.

Thunstrom is working from a closed guard but he's struggling to control his opponent.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

Thunstrom working from the bottom, still in full guard. He's managed to get a loose triangle. Marvin doesn't seem to be doing much to defend here, obviously he feels comfortable in the position. Marvin manages to throw the legs off his shoulder and he's back into guard - no problem.

Marvin wants to lay and pray for a moment but Thunstrom keeps working.
Thunstrom wants to control but Marvin is keeping busy.
Thunstrom is looking to regain full guard. Not this time though.

Marvin lands with an elbow from half guard - that looked like it hurt.
Thunstrom might be looking to lock onto one of his opponent's long limbs for a submission, whilst we're on the ground.

Marvin is looking for a kimura. It's going to be difficult to finish that from half guard though and Thunstrom defends it well.
The referee walks around the fighters to get a better view of the action. Marvin lands a nice short elbow.

Thunstrom is looking to control Marvin's leg but it's slowly edging free. Can Thunstrom avoid being mounted?

Marvin thows an elbow strike that misses. Thunstrom gets hold of full guard and has managed to get a loose guillotine attempt. Marvin doesn't seem too bothered but Thunstrom quickly shifts his position and has tightened the hold! Marvin is in big trouble now - he's going a funny colour - he's tapping out! Nice finish there! Marvin really should have spotted the danger earlier though... either incompetence or over-confidence has resulted in a big L on his record.
