The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Bombaclad scores a trip takedown into side control. Nice. The referee looks like he's ready to step in and stand the fighters back up. Bombaclad in side control lands a decent elbow. Bombaclad throws an elbow but Cena slips to the side and avoids it well. Cena can't do much from the bottom here. Bombaclad misses with an attempted head punch from side control. We get told so often about how wrestlers don't like to be on their backs. Let's see if Cena can do anything to dispel that myth. Cena is working away from the top position though. Bombaclad could do with losing a few pounds - he looks very soft around the mid section, to put it politely. Bombaclad makes his way to full guard. A much better position for Bombaclad. Cena stopping the sweep attempt from Bombaclad. Bombaclad seems to have improved his submission grappling technique since last time we saw him.
