Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Chuck Norris (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Grant Munoz (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Chuck Norris could well score a knockout today. He has the power to get to Grant Munoz's chin.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 1, fighting out of Los Angeles, Grant Munoz!
The judges for this bout are Don Winkell, and Jack Bonds.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Munoz will have to do better than that with his takedown attempts.

Norris looks for a takedown. He's got it. We're now in half guard.
The referee must be thinking about standing these guys back up.
Norris is just content to waste time from the top position. Munoz takes advantage of the situation and regains full guard.

Norris is thinking about going for an arm triangle but he can't free his leg.

Munoz throws a looping left and ducks down for a takedown. He's got his arms around Norris's waist but Norris gets an underhook and avoids the takedown by throwing Munoz off to one side.

and Munoz counters with a nice jab to the body that keeps Norris thinking.

Norris bobs and weaves into range and then changes levels and scores with a nice takedown into side control.
Munoz is sneaking out the side here. He's bucked Norris off and has taken his back!
The fighters are starting to get a bit slippery now, which will make submissions a bit more difficult.

Norris feints and as Munoz raises his hands in defense, Norris changes levels and drives through with a takedown into guard.

Norris drives through with a takedown into Munoz's guard. Let's see what he can do from the top position.

That's time! Norris's corner gives him a slap on the ass as he gets ready to fight. And we move into the final round!


Norris leaves Munoz with his face pressed against the mat as he sprawls beautifully, defending against a solid takedown attempt.
Munoz shoots in for a takedown. "Ole!" shouts Norris as he jumps to the side.
Munoz lunges in with swinging rights and lefts but Norris circles away quickly and effectively.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.

Norris shoots in for a takedown! He's got it and he's managed to land in side control! That's better than Norris was expecting from the takedown attempt, I'm sure!
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Norris is looking to take a break and control but Munoz is keeping him honest, looking to work from the bottom.
Munoz takes a big intake of breath there - he's definitely tired.

Munoz sneaks back into half guard.
Norris seems very keen to just sit and control from half guard but Munoz does not like that idea so much and is remaining active off his back.
Munoz moves his hips nicely and gets into full guard.
Norris is fighting to break Munoz's control of his arms but Munoz is doing a good job of controlling the position at the moment.

The referee is asking the fighters to pick up the pace.

Munoz tucks in and makes sure he doesn't lose the dominant position.

And that's the end of the fight!
That was a close round. You could make an argument for either fighter but I would give it to Chuck Norris.
Well Norris has outscored his opponent in every aspect of the fight today. Only a scarily incompetent judge or two will keep him from a well deserved win... Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
