Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between Reijo Rento (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Blerim Hyka (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Hyka has chosen Iron Maiden - 'The Evil That Men Do' as his entrance music. Reijo Rento has a significant reach advantage - let's see if he can make it count.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Rento feints with a shoulder and throws a nice leg kick to Hyka's calf.
Hyka attempts a low kick but it misses it's target.
Rento dips to his left and cracks Hyka with an uppercut!

It looks like Blerim Hyka has been cut.
Rento throws a decent looking leg kick but it doesn't land clean.
Hyka lands a lovely overhand right.

enabling Rento to counter with a crisp jab.
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!
Hyka tests Rento's chin there with a solid looking shot.

Rento feints and then cracks Hyka's leading leg with a nice low kick. He's obviously looking to slow Hyka down.
Rento circles away from the clinch attempt.
Hyka tries to land with a swinging hook to the body but Rento was well out of range. Poor timing from Hyka.

and Rento counters nicely by changing levels and landing a hook to the body.
Rento swings wildly with a hook that is half blocked by Hyka.
Hyka wants to clinch up but Rento keeps it at a distance.
Reijo Rento seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
A decent looking cross lands there for Rento.
The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so!
Rento finds nothing but air with that leg kick attempt.
That kick from Hyka tenderised Rento's leg. Rento is trying to keep his angry face on.
Rento connects with an inside leg kick.

Hyka closes the distance and pushes Rento back into the cage.
Hyka blocks an uppercut.
Rento lands with a short punch from the clinch.

That has opened up Blerim Hyka's cut even more.
Rento has had enough of the clinch but Hyka keeps him there for the moment.

Rento is looking for a takedown up against the cage. Hyka gets underhooks though and prevents the takedown attempt.

The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Rento passes into half guard.
Rento is keeping good posture, landing some ground and pound.
Rento trying to control the action but Hyka is working from the bottom.
Rento wants to pass to mount but Hyka is defending the position.
Hyka is pressing down on Rento's left leg trying to get back to full guard. He's managed it.
Rento with a couple of shots to the head there. Not particularly brutal.

The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

Rento has been looking to land a fair amount of strikes on the ground. He might be looking to soften his opponent up in order to work for a submission.

Rento takes advantage of the dominant position to land a couple of big hammer fists.
Hyka moves into full guard.

Hammerfist, elbow! yells Rento's corner. There ya go! There ya go!
Rento tries to free his leg and advance position but Hyka is retaining full guard.
Hyka looking to hit a scissor sweep but Rento is one step ahead there.
Rento is working Hyka over from the guard. He should look to pass the guard and do a little more damage with these strikes.
The crowd are going absolutely nuts as the round comes to an end - what a fantastic round of action!
Rento postures up in Hyka's guard and throws a big left but Hyka blocks it.

Hyka is working actively off his back, looking to secure an arm or perhaps work for a triangle.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Rento drops his hands momentarily and Hyka takes advantage with a crisp shot to the head.

Rento drops Hyka with a nice combination! Rento dives into Hyka's guard, looking to finish!

The cut above Blerim Hyka's eye is starting to cause him problems now.
Rento lands a couple of decent looking shots.

Hyka is rocked!

Rento loads up on a big left hand. Hyka felt that one! He's just covering up now, not defending himself intelligently - Rento looks towards the ref and unloads with 3 more big shots and the ref has no choice but to stop the fight! Hyka can't hide his disappointment, as Rento celebrates the victory.
