4 - 4 - 0, fighting out of Rio de Janeiro, Temitope Obama! The judges for this bout are Felipe Paraventi, Emerson Jorge and Edson Gomes.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Eliott throws a right hand that Obama ducks under and follows up with a left that Obama also avoids with ease. Obama is looking for a takedown here. He's shot in and has managed to get it, finishing up in Eliott's half guard. Eliott holds on for dear life, maintaining half guard for now. Obama tries to stand but his arm is trapped. Obama throwing shots but they're hitting the canvas more than the man. Eliott tries to get to full guard but Obama has control of the leg. Eliott makes his way to full guard. A much better position for Eliott. Obama slips effortlessly into side control - very nice. Obama looking for an arm triangle but it's way too loose to do anything. Obama staying calm.

Obama lands a knee to the body and follows it up with some ground and pound to the head. That will wear Eliott down.

As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action. The ground and pound from Obama seems to be hitting the mat more than his opponent. Obama wants to work for a kimura but he's foiled early by Eliott, who protects the arm well. Obama wants to control but Eliott is keeping him busy. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Eliott throws a nice hook to the body that draws an oooh from the crowd. Temitope Obama seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout. Eliott walks forward and throws out a flicking leg kick. Obama checks it nicely though, as he moves to the side. Eliott's hands are dropping dangerously low here and Obama connects clean with a right hook that sends him down to one knee! Eliott scrambles back to his feet. Eliott clinches up against the cage. Obama escapes the clinch and we're back to striking.

Eliott shoots in from a long way out. He's driving through with the takedown attempt and he eventually gets it, landing in Obama's guard. Obama is throwing his legs up, looking for submissions. Eliott is aware though and is defending well. Obama throwing his legs up looking for a triangle.
Obama keeping moving, preventing Eliott from controlling successfully. Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd. Obama tries to land a sweep but no joy.

Eliott throws a big right hand that misses. Obama is actively looking for submissions from his back. He's worked himself a little space on the bottom and seems to be going for a triangle. No, he's switched into an armbar! That was slick! Eliott rolls with it to try and escape but Obama cranks on the arm and Eliott is forced to tap out! This one is aaaaaaaaall over!
