The judges for this bout are Konstantin Menshow, Vladimir Khabensky and Igor Prikhodko.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Fletcher fakes a strike and closes the distance, dragging Valshikov to the ground. Fletcher is now in Valshikov's guard.
Fletcher could do with losing a few pounds - he looks very soft around the mid section, to put it politely.
Fletcher controls the pace of the fight for a moment.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

Valshikov shoots in with a lovely double leg takedown. Fletcher manages to land in full guard to minimise the damage.

Valshikov lands a big head kick that sends Fletcher tumbling to the mat! Valshikov takes a step backwards and waves Fletcher back to his feet - he wants the finish!
It looks like Lesley Fletcher has been cut.
We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!

Valshikov connects with a good right hand that stumbles Fletcher. Fletcher circles away out of range and recomposes himself.
