Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the bantamweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.

0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Rio de Janeiro, Samuel Gutierrez!
The judges for this bout are Matheus Silva, Luis Engracia and Leandro Rodrigues.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Gutierrez thows a body shot but no joy.
Gutierrez tries to clinch there but Harper circles away.
Harper moves in looking to clinch but Gutierrez pushes him off.
Gutierrez throws a right and a left that Harper avoids nicely.
Harper shoots in for a takedown. He's persisting with it as Gutierrez sprawls well. Gutierrez wins this battle and keeps the fight standing. Harper gets slowly back to his feet.
Harper gets his takedown attempt stuffed easily
and Gutierrez counters nicely by changing levels and landing a hook to the body.
Gutierrez shoots in looking for a takedown. Harper tries to sprawl out of it but Gutierrez keeps driving through. The fighters are pinned against the cage. Harper manages to get underhooks and after a bit of a struggle, circles away and we're back to standing.
Gutierrez is looking to take this fight into the clinch.
Gutierrez darts in and clinches Harper up against the cage.
Gutierrez looking to throw knees to the head but Harper is blocking nicely.
Harper has Gutierrez pressed up against the cage and is working for takedown. Gutierrez manages to improve position though and keeps the fight standing.

Gutierrez tries to take the fight to the ground by pulling guard but can't manage it.
Harper is looking to control Gutierrez's arms but Gutierrez gets an underhook and turns him. Now Harper has his back to the cage.
Gutierrez is looking for a takedown up against the cage. Harper gets underhooks though and prevents the takedown attempt.
Gutierrez keeps control of Harper as he tries to wriggle out of the double underhooks.
Harper jumps into guard, dragging Gutierrez to the mat.
The referee is pacing around the two fighters - he looks like he's thinking about a standup.
Gutierrez throwing shots from guard but he's hitting more mat than opponent.
Gutierrez trying to control but Harper is working from the bottom.
Gutierrez has decided he wants to stand but the closed guard of Harper is proving hard to escape from.

Harper is throwing his legs up, looking for submissions. Gutierrez is aware though and is defending well.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Harper looking to sweep here. No luck so far.
Harper working a defensive guard but Gutierrez manages to pass into side control anyway.
Gutierrez in side control, throwing shots but Harper defends.
Harper tries to improve position but can't.
Gutierrez has the superior BJJ but he's also working some ground strikes into his gameplan.
Harper wants to control but Gutierrez postures up.
Gutierrez advances to mount.
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.
Gutierrez looking to control but Harper is working nicely, looking to advance position himself.
Harper knows he needs to get back to his feet asap. He's simply no match for Gutierrez on the ground.

Gutierrez lands with some strikes.
Gutierrez takes a little breather and maintains the position. The referee will be looking for him to stay active from such a dominant position though.
Gutierrez working for a guillotine from mount but Harper is in no mood to give up.
Harper is trying to escape the mount but Gutierrez keeps good control and instead manages to take Harper's back.

Gutierrez is controlling his opponent, waiting for an opportunity to finish.
Gutierrez is working for the choke. He's slipped one arm under the chin. Harper has to defend the other arm for all he's worth... but Gutierrez has managed to get that arm free too and he's tightening the choke! Harper taps out and looks absolutely disgusted with himself. Gutierrez doesn't care though - he's delighted!
