Coming up we have a featherweight MMA rules bout between Charlie Alaniz (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Enrique Rold (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Alaniz comes to the cage accompanied by Slippin. Enrique Rold has the power to score a knockout today if he connects clean with Charlie Alaniz's chin.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the featherweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
12 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Amsterdam, Charlie Alaniz! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
9 - 4 - 0, fighting out of Amsterdam, Enrique Rold! The judges for this bout are Paul Aken, Patrick Alders and Daniel Blasius.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Rold throws a feint and then finishes with a kick to the body. Well, he's not going to score with shots like that. A lazy body kick attempt from Rold. Alaniz has been working on his boxing with his coaches at The Pitt in the buildup to the fight. Rold misses with a head kick.
Rold keeps the fight on the outside. Rold thows a body shot but no joy. Alaniz shoots in for a takedown but Rold shows good takedown defense there and keeps this one on the feet. Alaniz rushes Rold and pushes him back against the cage in a clinch. Alaniz tries to pull guard but Rold forces him back to his feet, against the cage. Alaniz tries to take the fight to the ground by pulling guard but can't manage it.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Charlie Alaniz. That's going to take a lot out of him. Come on Alaniz - let's have some action - none of this stalling nonsense.
Alaniz is trying to pull guard but Rold turns him against the cage and we stay in the clinch. Alaniz tries to jump guard but he falls flat on his backside. Rold smiles and moves away.
Rold throws a body kick but he wasn't in range.
That's one minute gone in the round. A kick lands to the mid section there for Rold. Rold looks for the body kick but Alaniz saw that one coming. Alaniz wants to clinch and Rold cracks him with a counter punch right on the button. Rold keeps the fight on the outside. Rold throws a leg kick but Alaniz sees it coming and checks it nicely. Alaniz moves out of range of the body kick. A looping hook to the body misses from Rold. Alaniz does a little dance to reset his feet. Enrique Rold is looking to keep the fight on the feet at all costs. Rold throws a half hearted mid kick. Alaniz gets a clinch. Alaniz jumps guard but Rold stands there with Alaniz around his waist. Alaniz gives up and drops back to his feet. We remain in the clinch.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Rold is fighting off a takedown attempt but Alaniz is just too persistent for him and manages to trip Rold to the mat. Rold regains guard as soon as the fighters hit the mat. Alaniz wants to pass the guard but Rold is keeping the position. Alaniz preventing the sweep. Alaniz throwing shots from guard but he's hitting more mat than opponent. Alaniz drops back, looking for a kneebar! Rold looks panicked! The fighters roll across the mat, one looking to finish, one looking to escape. Rold looks to have wriggled free... Yes, he's got his leg free and he's dived into side control! Good work there from Rold! The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so! Alaniz is not content to let Rold control the position. Both fighters really going for it on the ground here! Alaniz being controlled for a moment. Alaniz tries to work a leg under to get back to half guard but Rold wriggles his own leg back out and remains in side control.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Alaniz is moving his hips around well on the bottom and has managed to get back to half guard. Alaniz actively working from the bottom here. Alaniz blocking the ground and pound attempt from Rold. It looks like Rold is going to stand back up.
Alaniz regains full guard. Nicely done. Rold chips away with some ground and pound. Alaniz looking for submissions from the bottom here. Moving his hips around, possibly looking for an armbar.
Rold wants to stand but Alaniz has a closed guard, so he can't escape. Alaniz looks to be working for a triangle here. Oh, it looks like he might have it! Rold has picked Alaniz up and slammed him! Alaniz can't keep hold of the triangle and Rold manages to pass to side control! Rold wants to work for a kimura but he's foiled early by Alaniz, who protects the arm well. Alaniz is looking for a sweep. Alaniz prevents Rold from moving into mount. The fighters are going at a pretty good pace and they're both starting to sweat now. Alaniz tries to buck Rold off but Rold is having none of it.
That's four minutes gone in the round. This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff! Rold tries to get to his feet but he's trapped momentarily. Alaniz sneaks a leg under to get back to half guard. Rold tries to pass to full mount but Alaniz defends it. Rold is looking for an arm triangle, whilst trying to pass to side control. Alaniz doesn't seem that keen to cooperate though. No luck this time Rold. Alaniz slips a foot under and gets full guard. Nice work. Alaniz has a loose triangle. He'll be looking to tighten that up but Rold can see exactly what he's planning and manages to posture up and free himself. As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action. Alaniz looking for submissions from the bottom but instead Rold passes into half guard.
Alaniz slips a foot under and gets full guard. Nice work. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
That was a close round but I would say that Charlie Alaniz will probably get the nod. The minute break is over - no more time for sponges and pep talks - back to the action!
Rold digs a good body shot into Alaniz's ribs. The fight stays on the outside here - Alaniz looks like he's thinking about clinching though. Rold lands a beauty of a right hand that gets the crowd cheering.
Alaniz clinches up with Rold and pushes him back against the cage. Rold blocks a knee to the body. He'll have a nicely bruised forearm in the morning. Both fighters working to control the clinch. Alaniz tries for a takedown. No joy.
Rold gets underhooks to prevent Alaniz's takedown attempt.
Rold tries to land a shot to the body but it's blocked. Rold is trying to maintain a safe position but Alaniz gets an underhook and turns Rold into the cage. Alaniz changes levels and goes for a takedown here. Rold fights it off and pushes away nicely.

That's two minutes gone in the round. Alaniz is working for a kimura from half guard. He's really concentrating on the hold and it's allowed Rold to slip a leg under and get back to full guard. Alaniz is fighting to break Rold's control of his arms but Rold is doing a good job of controlling the position at the moment. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so! Alaniz in full guard, throwing the ground and pound. No damage this time. Alaniz loading up with the ground and pound but he's missing more than he's landing in this flurry. Alaniz stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Rold swivels though and keeps the full guard. Alaniz trying to land body shots but he keeps hitting the mat. It really doesn't seem like the step up in weight is hurting Alaniz here at all. He's more than holding his own against the bigger man.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Alaniz looking to pass the guard. Rold is pulling down on Alaniz's head. It's preventing any offense from Alaniz, at least for the moment. A big thud reverberates around the arena there as Alaniz accidentally thumps the mat. Hopefully he's not broken his hand. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Alaniz throws a strike but Rold rolls with it and manages to sweep. Now he's in guard on top. Rold forces his way into half guard. Alaniz is staying active underneath Rold, who seems content to just control the action from this position. Alaniz gets full guard. Alaniz is active off his back here, looking for submissions.
Alaniz has his foot on Rold's thigh. He's trying to push off and get in position for a triangle, I think. Rold works his way back into a safe position though.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Alaniz wants to sweep but no luck. Alaniz looking for submissions from the bottom here. Moving his hips around, possibly looking for an armbar.
Rold wants to control from the top but Alaniz keeps moving. Alaniz looking for a sweep. Not yet Alaniz, not yet. Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show! Rold advances position into side control! Rold cracks Alaniz with a big elbow. Rold is looking to finish here, going for an Americana. Alaniz knows the correct defense though, so he's OK. Rold wants to control but Alaniz is keeping him busy. As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action. Rold working away. Rold staying calm. Rold trying to control the position but Alaniz is working away. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Rold throws a sloppy head kick and Alaniz moves out of range easily. Alaniz shoots and misses and Rold counters with a leg kick that reverborates around the arena. That's one minute gone in the round. Rold throws a shot from downtown. Alaniz moves away and avoids it. Alaniz tries to clinch up against the cage, rushing in to close the distance. Rold manages to break the clinch and circles back to the middle of the mat. Rold fakes a jab and throws a low kick but Alaniz checks it well. Rold pivots, looking for a leg kick but Alaniz is out of range and Rold settles back down. Alaniz tries to clinch but is not successful on this occasion. Rold throws a head kick but Alaniz moves out of range.
Alaniz throws a looping left and ducks down for a takedown. He's got his arms around Rold's waist but Rold gets an underhook and avoids the takedown by throwing Alaniz off to one side. Alaniz doesn't manage to clinch there - Rold circles away.
Rold takes a step towards his opponent and connects with a left hand, before circling away. Rold leaves Alaniz with his face pressed against the mat as he sprawls beautifully, defending against a solid takedown attempt. Enrique Rold has stepped it up - he knows he needs a finish here!
That's two minutes gone in the round. Alaniz takes a jab right on the nose. That must have hurt but he shrugs his shoulders and looks to return the favor. Rold works Alaniz's body with a nice hook. Charlie Alaniz is fighting for a decision here - he's started to take the cautious approach. Alaniz moves into the clinch. Rold misses with a shot to the kidneys.
Rold has had enough of the clinch and is looking to separate. Some stalling of biblical proportions here from Rold. Both guys are working to get underhooks. Rold seems frustrated at his inability to get double underhooks.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Alaniz trying to land knees to the body.
Rold can't break the clinch.
Rold is looking to control Alaniz's arms but Alaniz gets an underhook and turns him. Now Rold has his back to the cage. A head punch on the inside from Rold fails to land. Rold working aggressively here.
Alaniz blocks a couple of punches on the inside.
Alaniz keeps the fight in the clinch, despite Rold's efforts to push away. Both guys are working to get underhooks.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Alaniz tries to score a body lock takedown but Rold shows good agility there to stay on his feet. Rold wants to stall.
The ref breaks the fighters up, due to lack of action by Enrique Rold. Rold buckles his opponent's knee momentarily with a nice leg kick.
Alaniz shoots in for a takedown but doesn't get it. The crowd applaud the fighters efforts here as the round comes to an end. Alaniz is looking to clinch. Alaniz checks a leg kick. Rold motions for Alaniz to come forward. Rold throws a leg kick but it misses it's target.
And that's the end of the fight! Enrique Rold comfortably won the final round on my scorecard. I think Alaniz has won this one but let's see what the judges have to say. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
