The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Cooper blocks a head kick by Ichimaru.
Ichimaru has been talking about how he's improved his wrestling in the run up to the fight so let's see if that's enough to sway the balance.
Cooper takes a thudding leg kick, right into the meat of the thigh.
Some bone on bone action there as Ichimaru checks a low kick. Luckily it wasn't a particularly hard one.

This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!

That's a knee to de groin and it's over and out! Cooper crumples to the ground after an illegal strike from Ichimaru - the referee stops the clock and Cooper gets 5 minutes to recover from that one. "I'm sorry" says Ichimaru. Cooper manages to get back to his feet and the fight resumes.

Ichimaru pivots as if he's going to throw a leg kick but stops half way.
The crowd are going absolutely nuts as the round comes to an end - what a fantastic round of action!

Cooper fakes and then throws a beautiful body shot. Ichimaru looks a bit winded and takes a step backwards to take a breath.

Cooper has developed a nice purple lump on his ribcage, as a result of some heavy body kicks from Ichimaru.
Oooooooooooh, not good. A low kick from Cooper lands where it shouldn't have, right in the... well, you know what he did? He kicked him in the penis. He's injured, injured bad. The referee sends both fighters to their corners and Ichimaru has 5 minutes to recover. He's OK now though... a thumbs up from Ichimaru and we're back underway with a touch of gloves.

and Ichimaru counters with a head kick. That will keep Cooper thinking before he tries any more sloppy attacks!

Ichimaru's corner calls for a 1-2. Ichimaru obliges with the 1 part as he scores the single shot and moves back out of range.

Cooper gets clipped by a big right hand and goes down spinning to the canvas! Ichimaru gets the back mount and begins to drop bombs on his rocked foe! Cooper is too out of it to defend against the strikes and the referee jumps in to save him from the beatdown!
