Coming up we have a featherweight MMA rules bout between Jack Harris (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Bruce Shashia (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Both fighters look fresh as a daisy as they make their way towards the cage.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the featherweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
2 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Jack Harris! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
2 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Sydney, Bruce Shashia! The judges for this bout are Tiny Johnson, Frank Dennis and Wesley Smith.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Shashia looks to throw the jab but Harris is out of range. Shashia misses with a wild combination.
Harris takes a shot right to the bread basket. Shashia throws a poor cross that misses
and Harris counters with a kick to the head that grazes his opponent. Shashia is lucky that one didn't land flush. Shashia avoids the clinch attempt nicely.
Harris misses with the combination.
Shashia misses the shot to the body. Harris drives through and clinches with Shashia against the cage.
Shashia looks like he'd prefer to be striking at range right now. Harris crunches a lovely knee into Shashia's ribcage. Shashia wants to break free. God knows he wants to breaaaak freeee. Harris really does look like a pencil wearing a pair of gloves. Let's hope he has a gameplan to suit that ridiculous body shape. Harris content to slow the pace in the clinch.
Harris jumps guard but his hands slip and he falls flat on his back. Well, he's made himself look a right mug there, as Shashia walks away with a smile on his face. Harris gets slowly back to his feet and shakes his head. This has been an exciting period of action! Harris shoots in for a takedown. "Ole!" shouts Shashia as he jumps to the side.
That's one minute gone in the round. Shashia avoids the head kick by Harris.
A big right from Shashia misses. Shashia lands a jab, followed by a cross and another cross, as Harris backs up against the cage.
Harris is rocked! Shashia fakes a jab and then connects with a hook. Oh Harris is still all over the place! His legs are completely gone! Will he be able to recover?!! Harris tries to close the distance and clinch up against the cage but Shashia paws at him with a jab and circles away. Harris misses with a leg kick and Shashia counters with a three punch combination, finished off with a leg kick. Nice work. Harris fails with a takedown attempt. That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Jack Harris. That's going to take a lot out of him. Shashia thows a body shot but no joy. Harris seems to have got his legs back now. Harris slips under a jab. A cross from Shashia lands.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Harris throws a nice looking combination but Shashia bobs and weaves to avoid any damage. A big right from Harris misses. Shashia misses with a two punch combination.
Shashia throws a right and a left that both miss. Harris throws a hard body shot but it just misses.
Harris throws a head kick that misses and slips in the process. He scrambles back to his feet and the fighters circle. Bruce Shashia seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout. Shashia lunges in with swinging rights and lefts but Harris circles away quickly and effectively. We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out! Shashia lands a beauty of a right hand that gets the crowd cheering.
Shashia tries to close the distance and clinch but Harris swats him to one side with an open hand palm strike and circles away. Harris takes an uppercut right on the jaw but it doesn't phase him. Shashia swings widly with a right hand
and Harris counters with a driving takedown into guard. Nice work there by Harris. We may be looking at a referee standup if the pace doesn't pick up soon. Shashia is looking for a guillotine. You can't force these things though and Harris defends well. Harris wants to control from the top but Shashia keeps moving.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Harris passes easily into side control. Nice work. Shashia is looking to slip a leg under and get half guard but Harris is one step ahead and moves to full mount! Shashia is squirming around, avoiding Harris's attempts to control the action. Shashia wants to control but Harris is having none of it. Harris scores with a couple of good head shots there.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Shashia tries to hold on but Harris pushes him away. Shashia keeping his composure momentarily, calmly looking to get back to half guard.
Harris wants to take Shashia's back here but Shashia is holding on to an arm, himself looking to escape.
Shashia is writhing around trying to get back to his feet. Harris controlling from the full mount. As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action. A nice elbow there by Harris. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
That was a close round but I would say that Jack Harris will probably get the nod. The referee calls time. The cornermen exit stage left and we're back to business.

Shashia throws a hook to the side of Harris's head but Harris sees it coming and ducks under it beautifully. A momentary lapse in concentration from Shashia enables Harris to shoot in and score with a neat double leg. Shashia manages to secure a closed guard as the fighters hit the mat. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Shashia looking for a sweep. Not yet Shashia, not yet. Shashia not looking particularly offensive just at the moment.
Harris is pushing down on Shashia's leg trying to pass to half guard. Shashia is fighting to maintain full guard but Harris has managed to sneak the leg through. Harris is looking to advance position but Shashia won't allow it. Harris is just sitting in half guard, waiting for something to happen. Shashia regains full guard. Nicely done.
That's one minute gone in the round. Harris preventing the sweep. Harris trying to control the position from guard on top but Shashia is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can. Shashia is looking for a guillotine. You can't force these things though and Harris defends well. Shashia controls Harris momentarily but Harris frees himself. The referee decides to stand the fighters back up, due to lack of activity on the part of Jack Harris. Harris feints and then dives in with a takedown. That was a long way out but the feint bought him enough time to close the distance and complete the takedown. Now we'll play guard for a bit and see who can get the better of that position. Shashia looking to control.
Shashia looks to be working for a triangle here. Oh, it looks like he might have it! Harris has picked Shashia up and slammed him! Shashia can't keep hold of the triangle and Harris manages to pass to side control! Harris taking a break here but Shashia is having none of it and regains half guard. Harris moves nicely into side control.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Harris tries to move to mount but Shashia blocks the move with his legs. Harris wants to stand but Shashia has his arm trapped. Shashia struggling a bit here. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Shashia is looking to regain half guard here but Harris keeps moving and retains side control. The referee asks Harris politely if he wouldn't mind getting on with it and actually doing something. Harris prefers to stall for the moment though. Shashia is moving his hips around well on the bottom and has managed to get back to half guard.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Shashia is working for an escape here. He's hooked one of Harris's legs and he's managed to sneak out and take Harris's back! Harris looks to control his opponent's hands but he's not mananging it at the moment. Harris is keeping busy.
Jack Harris overall seems to be getting the better of the ground position in the fight so far. Harris wants to control his opponent's hands but Shashia gets his hands free. Shashia is working really hard to secure the rear naked choke. Harris defends successfully for a significant amount of time. Both fighters are looking very determined. Harris is really stuck here.

That was a close second round but I would say that Jack Harris will probably get the nod. That's the end of the interval. I'm sure that seemed a lot quicker than a minute for our two fighters! Back to the action. Let's get this one finished - here comes the final round!

Harris uses good head movement to avoid the hook from Shashia. Harris has his takedown stuffed and Shashia counters with a quick right hand to the jaw. Harris moves forwards but Shashia connects with a nice, crisp jab. The fight stays on the outside here - Harris looks like he's thinking about clinching though. Shashia takes a swing at Harris's ribcage but misses. Shashia ducks down and throws a hook to the body but Harris moves away. Harris jabs Shashia to the body, keeping him at a distance. Shashia looks to score with a combo but nothing lands. Harris scores with a nice takedown into half guard. Let's see what he's got on the ground.
That's one minute gone in the round. Shashia has no desire to be mounted, so is trying to control. Harris is working away from the top position though. Shashia is trying to get back to full guard. Shashia trying to control here but he's found himself mounted! Oh no!

That's two minutes gone in the round. Harris pushing the pace here, looking to move to his opponents back and work for a finish.
Shashia tries to control Harris's body but Harris pushes him off. Shashia squirms to his side and now Harris has his back! Shashia wants to control his opponent's hands but Harris gets his hands free. Shashia tries to roll but Harris sticks to his back.

Harris really has the hooks in deep now - there seems like no escape for Shashia. Harris's ground tactics aren't going to win him many fans. Let's hope he's got fireworks for us if he gets back to his feet because he's not doing much on the ground. Bruce Shashia has stepped it up - he knows he needs a finish here!

Shashia takes a big intake of breath there - he's definitely tired. The crowd applaud the fighters efforts here as the round comes to an end. Harris has the hooks in. Shashia is trying to push off one leg but he has to do so cautiously to avoid being submitted.
And that's the end of the fight! That was a close round. You could make an argument for either fighter but I would give it to Jack Harris. Well I reckon that's a shut out for Harris, winning every round. Will the judges agree? They are the ones who matter, even if they are often depressingly incompetent.
