The judges for this bout are Valeri Chadov, Aleksei Zolotukhin and Dmitry Maklakov.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Micheli drives through and clinches with Kamida against the cage.
Kamida is trying to pull guard but Micheli turns him against the cage and we stay in the clinch.
Kamida jumps guard but Micheli turns him against the cage and keeps the fight standing.

Franco Micheli has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Sousuke Kamida.

Micheli has Kamida pressed up against the cage in a tight Thai clinch. Kamida is arching his back, trying to avoid the knees but a big one sneaks through from Micheli - that's hurt Kamida badly! Oh, another knee lands and Kamida is covering up! The referee steps in to save him - possibly a bit early but Kamida doesn't seem to be complaining.
Ladies and gentlemen, after 2:13 of round 1, we have a winner by way of TKO (Knees). Franco Micheli!
After the fight, Franco Micheli was humble in paying tribute to his opponent but made it clear he wants to go on to bigger and better things. It seemed to go down well with the crowd who cheered him loudly.
