The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Alvarez attempts a low kick but it misses it's target.

Alvarez definitely looks more muscular than last time we saw him fight.
Hills is looking to clinch but Alvarez is avoiding it.

Alvarez lands a jab, followed by a cross and another cross, as Hills backs up against the cage.

Trey Hills seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so!

Hills wants to clinch.
Hills tries to move into range but Alvarez moves to the side and lands with a nice right hand.

Alvarez lands a glancing blow to the side of Hills's head.
Hills tries to clinch up against the cage, rushing in to close the distance. Alvarez manages to break the clinch and circles back to the middle of the mat.
Hills shoots in for a double leg but Alvarez sprawls well. That's going to sap some energy.

Alvarez is pawing at Hills, trying to feel the distance before throwing out a cross that crashes into Hills's nose. Hills is badly hurt! Alvarez pounces, throwing wild strikes as both fighters end up on the ground! Hills tries desperately to hold on but Alvarez is relentless in his assault! As Hills receives an ever increasing number of unanswered strikes the referee pulls Alvarez away and this one is in the books!
