Coming up we have a bantamweight MMA rules bout between Jessie Fuentes (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Bazza Corderer (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Corderer has chosen WHEN WORLDS COLLIDE as his entrance music. The atmosphere really building for this one as we go over to our ring announcer for the fighter introductions!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the bantamweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
1 - 5 - 0, fighting out of Sydney, Jessie Fuentes! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Sydney, Bazza Corderer! The judges for this bout are John Mangel, Donatello Bradman and Hugh Johnson.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Corderer drives through with a takedown into Fuentes's guard. Let's see what he can do from the top position. We could do with one of the fighters taking the initiative a bit more on the ground - they're both waiting to capitalize on a mistake. Fuentes is trying to stand up but he's not managed so far. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Corderer is intent on slowing down the pace of the fight, simply looking to control. Corderer wants to pass the guard but Fuentes is keeping the position. Fuentes will need to keep those long limbs tucked in whilst he's on the ground, to prevent any submissions. Corderer looking to control the position here, rather than advance.

Bazza Corderer has forced the referee to step in and restart the fight on the feet. Corderer fails to land the takedown. Fuentes really does look like a pencil wearing a pair of gloves. Let's hope he has a gameplan to suit that ridiculous body shape. Corderer looks for a takedown here. Will he get it? Fuentes is fending him off so far but Corderer persists. Nope, Fuentes circles away and we're back to standing. Corderer should think about turning a few of those tyres round his middle into muscle if he wants people to take him seriously as an athlete. Corderer will have to do better than that with his takedown attempts. Jessie Fuentes has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Bazza Corderer. Fuentes throws the overhand right but ducks down into a quick takedown attempt. Corderer was covering up waiting for the punch and Fuentes finishes the takedown easily into guard. Fuentes won't allow Corderer to sweep him here. Corderer managing to control the position. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Fuentes is taking a break and basically stalling. The referee will not allow him to do that for long.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Corderer has a loose triangle. He'll be looking to tighten that up but Fuentes can see exactly what he's planning and manages to posture up and free himself. Fuentes has to be careful here, sitting in the guard of a superior BJJ player. Fuentes trying to control but Corderer is working from the bottom. We must be close to a standup if these guys don't pick up the pace. Corderer working a defensive guard here.

The ref stands the fighters back up because Jessie Fuentes just wasn't active enough. Fuentes shoots in from a long way out. He's driving through with the takedown attempt and he eventually gets it, landing in Corderer's guard. Corderer is trying to control the position but Fuentes postures up. Corderer is working actively off his back, looking to secure an arm or perhaps work for a triangle. Corderer is controlling Fuentes's posture. Corderer not looking particularly offensive just at the moment.

The ref stands the fighters back up, due to lack of action by Bazza Corderer. Fuentes scores with a one two! Corderer had his feet all tangled up there and couldn't avoid the strikes. The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so! Corderer dives in for a single leg takedown but Fuentes sprawls and the fighters end up clinched against the cage. As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action. Corderer keeps control of Fuentes as he tries to wriggle out of the double underhooks. Corderer is trying to work for a single leg takedown but Fuentes pulls him back up using the underhooks. Corderer lands a nice trip takedown into half guard.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Bazza Corderer dominated that round. OK. That's time! The bell goes and we're back to the action.
Corderer shoots in looking for a takedown. Fuentes tries to sprawl out of it but Corderer keeps driving through. The fighters are pinned against the cage. Fuentes manages to get underhooks and after a bit of a struggle, circles away and we're back to standing. Fuentes closes the distance and after a bit of a stuggle, scores a takedown into Corderer's guard. Corderer is doing well to control the posture of his opponent and prevent any damage. Fuentes slips nicely into half guard, despite the strikes coming from Corderer. Fuentes is looking to stand up but he'll have to free his leg first. Instead, Corderer manages to get to full guard. There's a bit of a scramble here and now Corderer is on top in guard.

That's one minute gone in the round. Corderer wants to pass to mount but Fuentes is defending the position. Corderer is persisting with the attempt to improve his position. Corderer passes to side control. A lull in the action here. Fuentes tries to improve position but can't.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Fuentes is not content to let Corderer control the position. Corderer is looking for a kimura. He might have it! No, Fuentes has escaped the position, nice work there. Corderer wants to take a breather but Fuentes manages to regain guard - a lesson learnt for Corderer. Corderer trying to control the position from guard on top but Fuentes is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Corderer forces his way into half guard. Fuentes has no desire to be mounted, so is trying to control. Corderer is working away from the top position though. Corderer stalling. Corderer trying to mount his opponent but Fuentes defends it. Corderer controlling the action here.

The ref stands the fighters back up. Bazza Corderer was stalling too much, according to the referee. Corderer shoots in but no luck this time. Corderer shoots in and scores a nice double leg takedown into half guard. The crowd applaud the fighters efforts here as the round comes to an end. Corderer looking to pass the half guard. Not this time. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Bazza Corderer showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards. Well, the break between rounds is over. Let's get back to the scrappin! This is the final round!
Corderer changes levels and drives through with a really nice takedown into side control. Fuentes looks really pissed at himself for not defending that better. Corderer remains in side control and seems content to stay there. It's a versatile position from which he can work both strikes and submissions, whilst maintaining that control, so maybe he'll sit here for a while. Corderer tries for a kimura. Not really close to a finish though. Bazza Corderer has got the better of the ground game so far. Corderer wants to control but Fuentes is keeping him busy. Fuentes tries to buck Corderer off but Corderer is having none of it.
That's one minute gone in the round. Corderer is looking to take a break and control but Fuentes is keeping him honest, looking to work from the bottom. Fuentes stops Corderer from passing to mount. Corderer takes a little break here. Fuentes wants to take advantage but he is being controlled well. Corderer trying to control the position but Fuentes is working away. The ref stands the fighters back up. Bazza Corderer was stalling too much, according to the referee. Fuentes is looking for a takedown here. He's shot in and has managed to get it, finishing up in Corderer's half guard. Corderer is looking for a sweep. Fuentes is wise to his cunning plan and keeps the top position. Corderer is doing well to avoid being mounted. He's controlling the position at the moment. Corderer tries to roll over but Fuentes keeps him under control. The fighters are battling for position here. Corderer manages to regain full guard. Nice work.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Corderer is working for submissions here. He's thrown up his legs looking for a triangle but Fuentes frees his head nicely. Oh but Corderer has switched to an armbar! Fuentes is tapping furiously! Lovely submission there!

After the fight, Bazza Corderer was humble in paying tribute to his opponent but made it clear he wants to go on to bigger and better things. It seemed to go down well with the crowd who cheered him loudly.
