Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Cortez Moss (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Matt Chiasson (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Matt Chiasson looks lathargic as he enters the arena. Wake up son, you're about to have a fight!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the lightweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.

The judges for this bout are Daniel Blasius, Nard Betker and Saam Ante.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Chiasson fails to land with a series of punches.
Moss really does look like a pencil wearing a pair of gloves. Let's hope he has a gameplan to suit that ridiculous body shape.
Chiasson throws the kick towards the body but Moss avoids it.
Chiasson bobs and weaves and unloads with a good uppercut.
Moss avoids a lazy jab quite easily.
Chiasson closes the distance and gets a trip takedown into side control. Moss quickly recovers to half guard.
We've had a lack of effective grappling in the last minute or so, which could well see a referee standup.
Chiasson tries to stand but his arm is trapped.
Moss controlling the position well.
Chiasson decides to stand up.
Chiasson ducks down and throws a hook to the body but Moss moves away.
Chiasson lunges in with swinging rights and lefts but Moss circles away quickly and effectively.
Matt Chiasson seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.

Chiasson looks to throw the jab but Moss is out of range.
Chiasson swings away with a leg kick that misses.
Moss darts in looking for a takedown but Chiasson gets double underhooks and turns Moss into the cage.
Moss decides to pull guard.
Moss manages to sweep nicely, so he's now on top. Chiasson manages to get himself to full guard.
Moss lands a nice shot whilst sitting in his opponent's guard.
Chiasson wants to get back to his feet but Moss passes into half guard.
Chiasson has hold of Moss's hands but Moss slips his arm to the side and lands an elbow.
Moss stands up out of the half guard.

A looping hook to the body misses from Chiasson. Moss does a little dance to reset his feet.
Chiasson falls off balance throwing a combination
and Moss counters with a nice shoot takedown that brings the fighters to the ground.
Chiasson looks winded!
Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show!
Hammerfist, elbow! yells Moss's corner. There ya go! There ya go!
Moss thinks about going for a leg but decides against it, in order to maintain the position.
Moss lands a couple of digs.
A big thud reverberates around the arena there as Moss accidentally thumps the mat. Hopefully he's not broken his hand.
Chiasson looking for subs off his back but Moss has passed one foot through into half guard.
Chiasson tries to roll over but Moss keeps him under control.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

Moss wants to stand up but Chiasson has a hold of him and won't allow it.
Moss has been looking to land a fair amount of strikes on the ground. He might be looking to soften his opponent up in order to work for a submission.
Moss decides to stand up and try his luck on the feet.
Chiasson looks to score with a combo but nothing lands.
Chiasson throws a combination but it was largely blocked by Moss.

Chiasson fails in his attempt to clinch.
Chiasson swings away but doesn't land with a series of punches.
Chiasson throws a head kick that misses and slips in the process. He scrambles back to his feet and the fighters circle.
Moss looks to land a combination but Chiasson avoids it well.
Chiasson manages to get an easy takedown there - catching Moss on his heels. He'll look to pass Moss's guard now, I'm sure.

Chiasson told us pre-fight that he has been working on his escapes in training. Let's see if he can call on some of his new skills to get back to his feet.
Moss seems keen to control rather than go for a submission, at least for now.
As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.
Moss manages to sweep nicely, so he's now on top. Chiasson manages to get himself to full guard.
The fighters are starting to perspire pretty heavily.
Moss postures up and lands a big shot to Chiasson's brow.

That was a close round but I would say that Cortez Moss will probably get the nod.

Chiasson fakes a strike and closes the distance, dragging Moss to the ground. Chiasson is now in Moss's guard.
Moss pulls Chiasson in to control the position.
We're going to have a standup here because Cortez Moss wasn't active enough for the referee's liking.
Chiasson shoots in looking for a single leg takedown. Moss is trying to defend but Chiasson finishes it well and ends up in half guard. Let's see if he can advance position further.

Chiasson wants to stand up but Moss has a hold of him and won't allow it.
Chiasson is breathing heavily.

Chiasson seems to have lost interest with the ground game and is thinking about standing back up.

Chiasson is stalling here. Moss is in no mood to hang around though. He's locked up a kimura from the bottom! Chiasson seems to be keeping calm but he's forced to roll out of the hold and Moss has ended up in side control on the top. Nice work.
Moss will need to keep those long limbs tucked in whilst he's on the ground, to prevent any submissions.

Moss looks up at the clock and then as Chiasson takes his cue and looks up at the clock too, Moss smacks him right in the chops with a big elbow! How rude!
Chiasson tries to control but end up mounted... ooooh, that's bad.
Moss with a couple of short strikes.
Moss cracks Chiasson with a nasty head shot there - the crowd let out an audible gasp there, as the noise reverberated around the arena.
Moss lands a heavy elbow.
Moss is looking to secure an arm. He's managed it! He's pivoting for an armbar - that looks tight! But Chiasson has managed to get out of it and now he's in a dominant position. Nice work from Chiasson!
Moss is pulling down on Chiasson's head to control his posture.

The crowd applaud the fighters efforts here as the round comes to an end.

Moss closes the distance and pushes Chiasson back into the cage.
Chiasson escapes the clinch and we're back to striking.

Chiasson lands a jab followed by a nice looking cross.

Moss drops back looking for a leg! Chiasson is in trouble here! The fighters roll with the hold and Chiasson manages to kick Moss off! Moss jumps back into Chiasson's guard.
Chiasson takes a big intake of breath there - he's definitely tired.

Chiasson has momentary wrist control but Moss slips an elbow through the middle.
Chiasson wants to get back to his feet but Moss is in a dominant position and won't allow it.
Moss slows down the pace of the fight for a moment. He'll need to remain active if he doesn't want to see the fight stood back up.

Well I reckon that's a shut out for Moss, winning every round. Will the judges agree? They are the ones who matter, even if they are often depressingly incompetent. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
