Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Punch Davenport Jr (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Lebron James (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Lebron James is the more experienced fighter, so let's see if that makes a difference tonight.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the middleweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of
1 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Los Angeles, Punch Davenport Jr!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of
2 - 11 - 2, fighting out of Los Angeles, Lebron James!
The judges for this bout are , Frank Antenori and Jack Bonds.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Davenport Jr closes the distance and clinches.
James lands a nice elbow.
It looks like Punch Davenport Jr has been cut.
James breaks from the clinch.
James looks to throw the jab but Davenport Jr is out of range.
Davenport Jr circles away from the clinch attempt.
Davenport Jr gets a clinch.
Both fighters working to control the clinch.
Davenport Jr jumps guard but his hands slip and he falls flat on his back. Well, he's made himself look a right mug there, as James walks away with a smile on his face. Davenport Jr gets slowly back to his feet and shakes his head.
James drives through with a takedown into guard.
We've had a lack of effective grappling in the last minute or so, which could well see a referee standup.
Davenport Jr working for a triangle but James defends it easily.

Davenport Jr working from the bottom, still in full guard. He's managed to get a loose triangle. James doesn't seem to be doing much to defend here, obviously he feels comfortable in the position. James manages to throw the legs off his shoulder and he's back into guard - no problem.

James decides he's had enough of playing guard and decides to stand. Come on Davenport Jr, up you get!
Davenport Jr tries for a takedown but James sees it coming a mile off and avoids it easily.
James fakes high and shoots in for a takedown but Davenport Jr avoids it really well and circles away.
James closes the distance and clinches up with Davenport Jr, looking for a takedown. James pushes Davenport Jr against the cage but Davenport Jr circles to the side and manages to break the clinch.
James tries for a takedown but Davenport Jr sees it coming a mile off and avoids it easily.
Punch Davenport Jr has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Lebron James.
Davenport Jr closes the distance and pushes James back into the cage.

Davenport Jr is fighting off a takedown attempt but James is just too persistent for him and manages to trip Davenport Jr to the mat. Davenport Jr regains guard as soon as the fighters hit the mat.
Davenport Jr tries to land a sweep but no joy.
We've been hearing good reports from Davenport Jr's training camp. Apparently he has been rolling around with some good quality BJJ practitioners and has been sharpening his skills. Let's see if that has an impact on the fight today.
James trying to control the position from guard on top but Davenport Jr is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can.
Davenport Jr pulls James in close to his closed guard and prevents James from doing any damage or advancing position.

The ref calls for a clean break and stands the fighters back up. Lebron James wasn't active enough on the ground.
James looks for a takedown here. Will he get it? Davenport Jr is fending him off so far but James persists. Nope, Davenport Jr circles away and we're back to standing.

No luck for James with that takedown attempt.
James looks winded!
James is looking to clinch.
Davenport Jr has managed to clinch.
James keeps control of Davenport Jr as he tries to wriggle out of the double underhooks.
Davenport Jr wants to strike at distance but he can't break free of the clinch.
Davenport Jr tries to circle away but James has him pinned against the cage.

James throws a knee to the head but misses.
Davenport Jr creates a bit of distance and throws an elbow that only just misses.

James throws a hook to the body but it doesn't connect.
Nice takedown defense from James. No joy for Davenport Jr on that attempt.
James fakes with an overhand right and moves in to clinch with Davenport Jr, pushing him back against the cage.

James tries to jump guard but he falls flat on his backside. Davenport Jr smiles and moves away.

A close round but Lebron James will probably get the nod.

That's the end of the interval. I'm sure that seemed a lot quicker than a minute for our two fighters! Back to the action.

A big right followed by a crushing left from Davenport Jr knocks James out cold! Ouch - that one's going to be featured in highlight reels for years to come!
