Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between John Coffey (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Vince Russow (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Coffey comes to the cage accompanied by Only Time by Enya. Well, the cameraman is lingering on a pretty young lady for a bit too long there. Keep your eyes on the prize buddy or you'll miss the fighter intros!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the heavyweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
1 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, John Coffey! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
2 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Vince Russow! The judges for this bout are Robert Douchet, Gregory Folan and William Peck.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Coffey bobbing and weaving, closes the distance and lands a hook to the side of Russow's head.
It looks like Vince Russow has been cut. Coffey with a nice cross. Coffey lands with a shot to the body. Russow looks frustrated there after his takedown attempt is stuffed easily. Coffey connects nicely with a jab. Noted by the judges no doubt. We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out! Coffey throws a jab to the body, straight down the pipe. Boom. That sent Russow stumbling backwards but he manages to regain his composure quickly. Coffey definitely looks more muscular than last time we saw him fight. Russow takes a shot right to the liver - Bas would have been proud of that punch. Jab by Coffey. John Coffey seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout. Coffey misses with an uppercut. Coffey comes forward and lands a shot to the body, then darts back out of range. Coffey stalks Russow and leaps in with a furious combination of punches. Uppercuts and crosses smash into Russow's face. Russow staggers backwards, shaken. Russow shoots for a double leg takedown but Coffey sprawls well. He's pushed Russow's face into the mat and manages to get back to his feet relatively easily. Coffey tries to land with a swinging hook to the body but Russow was well out of range. Poor timing from Coffey. Coffey circles and sees the opportunity to plant his feet and throw a really nice straight left hand that drops Russow to the canvas! Russow doesn't know where he is but he's trying to survive - Coffey keeps piling on the pressure and forces the referee to step in! This one is aaaaaall over!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 0:58 of round 1, we have a winner by way of TKO (Strikes). John Coffey! An out of breath John Coffey thanked his loyal fans in his post fight interview, giving them credit for his success over the course of his career.
