Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the heavyweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
1 - 0 - 0, fighting out of London, Willie Nelson! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
2 - 0 - 0, fighting out of London, Dan Druff! The judges for this bout are Phil Schofield, Richard Clark and James Atkins.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Jab from Nelson.
It looks like Dan Druff has been cut. Druff takes an uppercut right on the jaw but it doesn't phase him. Nelson changes levels and scores with a jab to the body. Good standup being displayed there by Nelson as he connects with a hook. Nelson is the aggressor but that punch slipped nicely by Druff. Druff avoids a punch combination nicely.
Nelson misses with a series of wild punches.
The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so! Druff gets a double leg takedown into Nelson's guard. It looks like the ref is thinking about a standup. Druff is frustrating his opponent with some stalling tactics from top position. Nelson is trying to control the position but Druff postures up. Druff gets to his feet - Nelson follows without any prompting.
That's one minute gone in the round. Nelson is the aggressor but that punch slipped nicely by Druff. Druff throws a combination but it was largely blocked by Nelson. Nelson scores with a jab to the head.

Nelson throws a jab when Druff was well out of range. Nelson dips to his left and cracks Druff with an uppercut! Willie Nelson seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout. Druff displays some good footwork, moving neatly out of range as Nelson throws out the jab. Druff walks straight into an uppercut. Luckily it didn't land flush. Nelson bobs and weaves and unloads with a good uppercut. Nelson stooping low to avoid any incoming strikes and then lunges in with an uppercut come cross that lands flush. Nelson is really peppering his opponent's head with punches. The crowd are loving this. Great action here. Nelson fakes and then throws a beautiful body shot. Druff looks a bit winded and takes a step backwards to take a breath. Druff takes a jab right on the kisser.
Willie Nelson is looking to keep the fight on the feet at all costs. Druff has a takedown stuffed.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Decent striking displayed by Nelson there. Nelson jabs Druff to the body, keeping him at a distance. Druff ducks right into an uppercut from Nelson. Druff moves forwards but Nelson connects with a nice, crisp jab. Druff shoots in and gets a takedown into half guard. Druff showed some decent athleticism there. Druff looks winded! Nelson trying to hold on to Druff's head to control him but Druff postures up.
Nelson is pressing down on Druff's left leg trying to get back to full guard. He's managed it. Druff wants to stand but Nelson has a closed guard, so he can't escape. Druff must be cautious of submissions here, given that his opponent has the superior Jiu Jitsu.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Nelson keeping moving, preventing Druff from controlling successfully. Druff is working the ground and pound from guard. He might want to try advancing position though to get more of an impact. Nelson wants to sweep but no luck. Nelson looking to control.
Druff passes into half guard. Nelson holds on for dear life, maintaining half guard for now. Druff trying to control the action but Nelson is working from the bottom. Druff not landing any meaningful shots this time. Druff thumps the canvas. Not on purpose obviously - he just missed Nelson's head.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Nelson looking to work for a kimura from the bottom. The referee calls for the fighters to work.
Druff tries to stand but his hand is stuck under Nelson. Nelson trying to control here.
Druff trying to control the action but Nelson is working from the bottom. The crowd are going absolutely nuts as the round comes to an end - what a fantastic round of action! Druff taking a breather but there's no such thing in a fight! Nelson has locked on to a kimura from the bottom - he uses it to sweep and is now looking to finish from the top position! He's got it! Druff has tapped! Great work by Nelson! Lay and pray doesn't pay, kids! Just remember, you heard it here first.
