Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
3 - 9 - 0, fighting out of London, Barrett Hanson! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
1 - 4 - 0, fighting out of London, Glen Shore! The judges for this bout are Donald Grub, James Ackerman and Richard Clark.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! A telegraphed takedown attempt from Shore is defended easily by Hanson. Shore misses with the combination.
Shore shoots in looking for a takedown but Hanson manages to keep the fight standing, pushing Shore's face into the canvas for good measure before circling away. Hanson clinches with his opponent.
Hanson lands a nice trip takedown into half guard.
The referee must be thinking about standing these guys back up. Hanson wants to get back to his feet.
Hanson stands up from half guard. Shore shoots in but Hanson avoids the takedown attempt easily. Barrett Hanson has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Glen Shore. Shore looks winded! Hanson moves into the clinch. A short left from Hanson.

Hanson breaks the clinch and we return to the middle of the mat. Hanson tries to bum rush Shore with a series of wild strikes but Shore uses good footwork to avoid the assault. Shore fakes high and shoots in for a takedown but Hanson avoids it really well and circles away. Shore has done a lot of speed work in the buildup to this fight. Hanson pulls out of a head kick attempt.
Glen Shore seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout. Hanson stuffs the takedown. Hanson fails with a takedown attempt from distance. Shore fakes high and swings low for a body shot but Hanson manages to avoid it. Hanson clinches up against the cage.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Shore letting Hanson take a breather here. Hanson breaks the clinch and we return to the middle of the mat. Hanson avoids a punch combination nicely.
Shore shoots in looking for a takedown. Hanson tries to sprawl out of it but Shore keeps driving through. The fighters are pinned against the cage. Hanson manages to get underhooks and after a bit of a struggle, circles away and we're back to standing. Hanson dives in and scores a takedown into Shore's guard. Hanson looking to control the position here, rather than advance. The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so! The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Hanson wants to stand but Shore is controlling his posture from full guard. Hanson is trying to work a guillotine from the top, or something like that? Don't know how he thinks he's going to get a finish from there. Hanson has to be careful here, sitting in the guard of a superior BJJ player. Hanson stopping the sweep attempt from Shore. Hanson got a little sloppy there for a moment and Shore has worked his way into a loose triangle - can he finish it?! No, Hanson has managed to get both his arms back between Shore's legs - danger averted.

The fighters are starting to perspire pretty heavily. Hanson passes Shore's left leg - he's now in half guard. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Hanson thows a huge punch but Shore dodges it nicely.
Hanson works his way into full mount! Hanson moves into side control, trying to work for a kimura. That looks painful! Will he finish!!?? No, Shore has worked his arm free - good work by Shore!
As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action. Hanson is looking for a kimura. He might have it! No, Shore has escaped the position, nice work there. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Barrett Hanson dominated that round. That's the end of the interval. I'm sure that seemed a lot quicker than a minute for our two fighters! Back to the action.
Shore dives in for a single leg takedown but Hanson sprawls and the fighters end up clinched against the cage. Shore looks like he'd prefer to be striking at range right now. A frustrated look appears on Shore's face as he tries to break the clinch. Shore wants to break free but Hanson has control.
Hanson working on landing some head shots here - that one got through nicely. Hanson's corner calls for him to break the clinch, which he does. Shore rushes forward with a series of wild hooks but Hanson moves out of range and avoids them all easily. Hanson clinches with his opponent.
Hanson gets control of Shore's arms and successfully pulls guard. Hanson will no doubt be looking for submissions off his back. Shore is breathing heavily. Hanson has his hands on Shore's head, controlling the position.

The ref stands the fighters back up because Barrett Hanson just wasn't active enough. Shore shoots in looking for a double leg takedown. Hanson defends it nicely. Shore throws a jab, cross combination which is slipped
and Hanson counters by clinching up. Hanson manages to break the clinch.

He'll be looking to tighten that up but Hanson can see exactly what he's planning and manages to posture up and free himself.

Shore is looking for a sweep. Hanson controlling the position. Hanson wants to work for a kimura but he's foiled early by Shore, who protects the arm well. Shore tries to work a leg under to get back to half guard but Hanson wriggles his own leg back out and remains in side control.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Hanson controlling the position. Hanson tries to advance to mount but can't. Hanson throws a knee to the body but it doesn't do much damage. The ground and pound from Hanson seems to be hitting the mat more than his opponent. Shore is trying to control Hanson's posture but Hanson avoids it. The crowd applaud the fighters efforts here as the round comes to an end. Hanson works to advance to full mount. Shore defends for a few seconds but eventually he succumbs. Shore is squirming around, avoiding Hanson's attempts to control the action. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Hanson is fending him off so far but Shore persists. Nope, Hanson circles away and we're back to standing. Hanson gets to the clinch - let's see what his plan is here. Hanson pulls guard effortlessly. Hanson is pulling down on Shore's head to control his posture. Shore trying to control the position from guard on top but Hanson is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can. Hanson trying to control the position here. Shore gets slowly back to his feet. Shore displays good takedown defense there as he swats away a double leg from Hanson.
