Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Alex Zelick (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Money Montell (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Money Montell told me before the fight that he's been watching a lot of DVDs so let's see if that helps him in this one! I can't wait to find out!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

The judges for this bout are Yves DeLean, Elvis Blanc and Steve Smith.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Zelick shoots in for a double leg but Montell sprawls well. That's going to sap some energy.
Zelick looks frustrated there after his takedown attempt is stuffed easily.

and Montell decides to take the opportunity to score a takedown. He's landed in Zelick's guard.
Montell stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Zelick swivels though and keeps the full guard.
The fighters are starting to perspire pretty heavily.
Montell is sitting in guard, working some ground and pound.
Zelick wants to stand up but Montell is controlling him.

A lull in the action here being met with boos from the crowd.
Montell takes a little breather and maintains the position. The referee will be looking for him to stay active from such a dominant position though.

Neither fighter has done anything of merit for a good minute or two here and the crowd are not happy about it.
Zelick wants to control but Montell is having none of it.

Despite being in the dominant position, Money Montell just isn't active enough and the referee decides to stand the fighters back up.

The corners get their ten second warning. Both fighters stand from their stools and stare eachother down, ready to get back to the action. This is the final round!

There's a bit of a scramble here and now Zelick is on top in guard.

Money Montell comfortably won the final round on my scorecard.
Well Montell has outworked and out performed his opponent in all aspects of the game today. He was simply too good and the decision should be no more than a formality. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
