Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the middleweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of
0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, George Pierre!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of
1 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Gustavo Gracie!
The judges for this bout are Wesley Smith, Robert Twigg and Stewart Dunkirk.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Pierre closes the distance and lands a one-two.
Pierre throws a head kick but Gracie moves out of range.
Pierre gets a double leg takedown into Gracie's guard.
The referee looks like he's ready to step in and stand the fighters back up.
Pierre pressing down on his opponent's thigh, looking to pass guard. Gracie is keeping the position for now.
Pierre trying to control the position from guard on top but Gracie is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can.
Gracie is working the butterfly guard. He manages to land a nice scissor sweep and is now in half guard on the top. Nice move.
Gracie perhaps working for something from half guard, or maybe not. It looks like he's just sitting there.
Pierre looks like he's trying to stand up.
Gracie performing his best blanket impression for a moment.
Let's hope that Gracie has the urge to step up the pace any second now because for the last 15 or 20 seconds he's just been holding on tight.
The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here.

Gracie takes a deep breath and rests his weight momentarily on top of his opponent, to control the position.
The ref stands the fighters back up. Gustavo Gracie was stalling too much, according to the referee.
Gracie closes the distance and scores a nice trip takedown into half guard. Pierre did well to prevent Gracie getting side control.
Pierre misses with some strikes from the bottom.
Pierre wants to get back to his feet.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Still in half guard, Gracie seems content to control.
Gracie moves into full mount! Pierre won't be happy about that!
Pierre tries to lock up and control but Gracie gives him a forearm to the face and pushes him away.
Gracie sitting in mount, just looking to control for the moment.
Gracie lands a nice shot to the head.
That's two minutes gone in the round.
Gracie moves to back control.
Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show!
So, who will make the next big move? In this position it could be crucial.
Pierre controlling the position well but he knows he's in a bad position.
Gracie biding his time, controlling Pierre.
Gracie's corner are shouting for him to control the position and he seems happy to oblige.

Gustavo Gracie has forced the referee to step in and restart the fight on the feet.
Gracie looks for a takedown but Pierre sprawls well.
Pierre feints and then dives in with a takedown. That was a long way out but the feint bought him enough time to close the distance and complete the takedown. Now we'll play guard for a bit and see who can get the better of that position.
Pierre is posturing up here but Gracie has hold of an arm and he's gone for an armbar! Pierre tries to roll out but it's too tight and Pierre has to tap! Slick submission there by Gracie!
