Liddell is bouncing up and down as he enters the arena, backed by It's Dark and Hell Is Hot. Barrett Johnson could well score a knockout today. He has the power to get to Chuck Liddell's chin.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 8 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Amsterdam, Barrett Johnson!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 17 - 28 - 0, fighting out of Hilo, Chuck Liddell!
The judges for this bout are Saam Ante, Patrick Alders and Nard Betker.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Liddell lands a leg kick. The shin dug right into the meat of the thigh.
Johnson keeps the fight on the outside.
Johnson throws a nice looking combination but Liddell bobs and weaves to avoid any damage.
Johnson moving in and out of range nicely, whilst landing the scoring shot.


It looks like Chuck Liddell has been cut.
Liddell keeping a good distance there, avoiding the body shot.

Johnson darts in and lands a nice takedown into half guard.

Liddell is looking to improve his position.

Liddell is trying a forearm choke… I don't think that's going to do much at this level of the game.

As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.

And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Barrett Johnson dominated that round.
The cut man is working on Chuck Liddell's cut.
The corners get their ten second warning. Both fighters stand from their stools and stare eachother down, ready to get back to the action.

Liddell gets caught on his heels momentarily as he allows Johnson to score an easy takedown into full guard.
Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show!
Hammerfist, elbow! yells Johnson's corner. There ya go! There ya go!

Liddell pushes a forearm under Johnson's chin to create some space. He's escaped his hips and pivoted quickly for an armbar! Can he extend the arm? Yes, Johnson is tapping out! Damn, that was fast!
