The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Joduf throws a head kick that misses.
Cote keeps the fight standing with a nice sprawl.
Joduf dives in and scores a takedown into Cote's guard.
Cote looking to hit a scissor sweep but Joduf is one step ahead there.
Joduf works over Cote with some ground and pound from guard.
Joduf is trying to work a guillotine from the top, or something like that? Don't know how he thinks he's going to get a finish from there.
Cote preventing the ground and pound from doing any damage.
Joduf is working Cote over from the guard. He should look to pass the guard and do a little more damage with these strikes.

Cote turns his back and goes for a hip toss. It's a bit messy but it gets the job done and Cote manages to end up in side control.
Joduf manages to land a sweep and he's now on top! Lovely Jiu Jitsu!
Cote has hold of Joduf's hands but Joduf slips his arm to the side and lands an elbow.
Joduf seems to be looking for submissions.
Cote tries to get to full guard but Joduf has control of the leg.

Joduf wants to work for an arm triangle but Cote is really keeping half guard well and defending the submission attempt.

A real slowdown in the pace of the fight for a moment, as Cote holds on and takes a little breather.

Joduf has been looking to land a fair amount of strikes on the ground. He might be looking to soften his opponent up in order to work for a submission.
Joduf has hold of a guillotine but he's not going to be able to crank on it really with only half guard, so it's no trouble for Cote. Oh but Joduf has got full guard now! Oh boy! This one could be over very soon! Cote goes limp - he's gone! Joduf jumps up and celebrates with the crowd - fantastic submission finish!
