Coming up we have a bantamweight MMA rules bout between Joan Mcclain (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Mad Man (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Mad Man has the better chin. Will he look to stand and bang today?

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the bantamweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 1 - 0 - 0, fighting out of New York, Joan Mcclain!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 0 - 1 - 0, fighting out of New York, Mad Man!
The judges for this bout are Jonathan Paton, Steve Montenegro and Joseph Jones.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Man drives through and clinches with Mcclain against the cage.

Mcclain breaks from the clinch.

Man shoots in for a takedown! He's got it and he's managed to land in side control! That's better than Man was expecting from the takedown attempt, I'm sure!
Mcclain tries to bench press Man off him but Man keeps the position.
Mcclain sneaks a leg under to get back to half guard.
Mcclain really does look like a pencil wearing a pair of gloves. Let's hope he has a gameplan to suit that ridiculous body shape.
Man wants to control but Mcclain is keeping him busy.
Mcclain makes his way to full guard. A much better position for Mcclain.
Man lands a nice shot whilst sitting in his opponent's guard.
Man is looking to stand up but Mcclain won't let him.

Mcclain has his foot on Man's thigh. He's trying to push off and get in position for a triangle, I think. Man works his way back into a safe position though.

Man seems to have lost interest with the ground game and is thinking about standing back up.
The fighters are battling for position here. Mcclain manages to regain full guard. Nice work.
Man wants to control from the top but Mcclain keeps moving.
Mcclain knows he needs to get back to his feet asap. He's simply no match for Man on the ground.
Man might have to switch it up a bit here because his efforts to control Mcclain haven't been going to plan, at least at the current moment in time.

OK we're going to have a standup here. Mad Man hasn't been effective enough on the ground and the referee wants a restart.
Man throws a head kick that misses and slips in the process. He scrambles back to his feet and the fighters circle.

Mcclain breaks the clinch and we return to the middle of the mat.
Mcclain fails with a takedown attempt.

Man shoots in for a takedown and gets it.
Mcclain is breathing heavily.
It looks like Man is going to stand back up.
Mcclain wants to improve his position but Man is controlling well.

The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

Mcclain landing with strikes to the body and head, softening up his opponent.

That was a close second round but I would say that Joan Mcclain will probably get the nod.

Mcclain had isolated an arm as going for a kimura. Man defends it easily.

Mcclain has a loose triangle. He'll be looking to tighten that up but Man can see exactly what he's planning and manages to posture up and free himself.

Joan Mcclain overall seems to be getting the better of the ground position in the fight so far.

Mcclain wants to improve his position but Man is controlling well.

Man is working for a kimura but Mcclain is defending it quite comfortably.

Man passes the half guard and he's now in mount! Big trouble for Mcclain!
Man can't quite control the action as he would like just now, as Mcclain is looking to escape.
Mcclain is desperately trying to improve his position but Man has a good base and remains in mount.
The crowd applaud the fighters efforts here as the round comes to an end.

Man thowing strikes but they're hitting the gloves, not doing any damage.

Mad Man comfortably won the final round on my scorecard.
Well Man has outworked and out performed his opponent in all aspects of the game today. He was simply too good and the decision should be no more than a formality. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.

Mad Man decided to go for the less than humble approach in his post fight interview, telling everyone how he is going to conquer the world. The crowd seemed to like it when really that sort of approach could have gone either way.
