3 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Andre Bishop! The judges for this bout are Ian Loll, William Peck and Yves DeLean.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Aldo shoots and misses and Bishop counters with a nice single leg takedown and he's in Aldo's guard now. Bishop is in close to Aldo's body, working some short punches and elbows. Aldo trying to control the position.
Bishop seems content to control from guard here. He's going to have to remain active though if he doesn't want to get stood back up. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Aldo tries to land a sweep but no joy. Bishop seems content to control from guard here. That's one minute gone in the round. Bishop sneaks a leg through and gets to half guard. That was like a knife through butter how easily he passed Aldo's guard. Bishop prevents Aldo from standing back up.
Bishop wants to pass to mount but Aldo is defending the position. Bishop throwing punches and elbows but they're not doing any damage. Bishop lands with a punch from half guard. Aldo avoiding damage under a succession of punches from Bishop. Bishop seems content to maintain position for now, rather than mounting any offense.

Bishop takes advantage of the dominant position to land a couple of big hammer fists. Bishop moves into full mount! Aldo won't be happy about that! Bishop is landing with some decent strikes but Aldo is trying to advance his position so the referee is letting the fight continue. Bishop content just to control the position here. The crowd are loving this. Great action here. Bishop lands a big elbow. Bishop looking to control and managing it successfully. Aldo closes the distance looking to clinch and Bishop counters with a nice shoot takedown that brings the fighters to the ground. Bishop working some ground and pound from guard but it's not doing any damage. Aldo keeping moving, preventing Bishop from controlling successfully. A big thud reverberates around the arena there as Bishop accidentally thumps the mat. Hopefully he's not broken his hand. Bishop with a nice head shot there. Bishop's corner is telling him to maintain position. Bishop scoring with some ground and pound. Bishop trying to control the position from guard on top but Aldo is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can.
That's one minute gone in the round. Bishop is frustrating his opponent with some stalling tactics from top position. Bishop should think about turning a few of those tyres round his middle into muscle if he wants people to take him seriously as an athlete. Aldo manages to land a sweep and now he's in mount on top!

That's two minutes gone in the round. Bishop is still trying to improve position. Bishop manages to regain half guard. Good work. Andre Bishop has got the better of the ground game so far. Bishop keeping control of the leg, stopping his opponent passing to mount. Aldo trying to pass the guard but Bishop defending well.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Aldo is stalling here. Bishop is in no mood to hang around though. He's locked up a kimura from the bottom! Aldo seems to be keeping calm but he's forced to roll out of the hold and Bishop has ended up in side control on the top. Nice work. Aldo manages to get one leg in to regain half guard. Well, if Bishop is going to just lie there, perhaps we should talk about what we're having for dinner tonight… I'm having a ham and pineapple pizza… Yum. Can't wait.

Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here. Bishop seems to be taking a bit of a break to think of his next move. He lands a short punch in the meantime. Bishop has been the more effective fighter overall so far. Bishop is just sitting in half guard, waiting for something to happen. This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff! As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action. Bishop lands a big shot. The thud that echoes around the arena is like music to the fans' ears. Andre Bishop showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards. The corners get their ten second warning. Both fighters stand from their stools and stare eachother down, ready to get back to the action. Let's get this one finished - here comes the final round!

Aldo tries to clinch and Bishop counters with a shoot takedown into half guard. Aldo is trying to defend against the ground and pound but Bishop scores with a couple of nice shots. Bishop seems content to maintain position for now, rather than mounting any offense. Bishop uses his free foot to push down on Aldo's thigh. Eventually he works his other foot free and he's advanced to mount - this is trouble for Aldo. Bishop breaks from Aldo's wrist control and lands an elbow. The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so! Bishop is still in mount, landing shots to his trapped opponent. Aldo can't stay in a position like this for much longer.
That's one minute gone in the round. Bishop connects with a couple of good shots from mount.
Bishop working away from the top, dropping strikes. Bishop fakes a shot to the body and cracks his opponent in the head. Nice ground and pound there!
Both fighters are breathing heavily. Bishop raining down shots from the mount! Bishop putting on the heat here with some good ground and pound!
Aldo is rocked! Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show! Bishop lands with some vicious ground and pound - can Aldo hang on? Oh Aldo is still in real trouble! Will he be able to recover?!! Bishop dominating with strikes here. Bishop postures up and throws a couple of big shots that have Aldo in real trouble here! The ref calls for Aldo to improve his position which he doesn't do, so the referee has no choice but to end the fight due to the strikes!
