Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Squirtle Blastoise (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Aran Schmeck (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Blastoise kept the crowd waiting but all that was forgotten when his ring entrance music started. The incomparable musical genius that is The Rolling Stones: Sympathy For The Devil. Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of

13 - 11 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Aran Schmeck! The judges for this bout are Colin Fotheringham, Sam Margolis and Paul Tew.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Blastoise looking to score a takedown here. Schmeck is defending well but Blastoise drives through and ends up in Schmeck's guard. Schmeck working for a triangle but Blastoise defends it easily.
Blastoise tries to free his leg and advance position but Schmeck is retaining full guard. Blastoise content to stall in guard here. Squirtle Blastoise has forced the referee to step in and bring the fight back to the feet. Blastoise drives through with a really nice takedown into side control. Blastoise tries for an arm triangle. That looks pretty tight to me. Is this one over!?! Possibly, maybe, no Blastoise has let go of the choke. Obviously it wasn't as tight as we thought! Blastoise will need to keep those long limbs tucked in whilst he's on the ground, to prevent any submissions. Schmeck tries to improve position but can't. Blastoise works his foot free and advances to mount. The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so! Blastoise can't quite control the action as he would like just now, as Schmeck is looking to escape.

Apparently he has been rolling around with some good quality BJJ practitioners and has been sharpening his skills. Let's see if that has an impact on the fight today. Schmeck looking for submissions from an awkward position here. Blastoise is looking for a kimura. It's going to be difficult to finish that from half guard though and Schmeck defends it well. Schmeck manages to get to full guard.
Schmeck keeping moving, preventing Blastoise from controlling successfully. The fighters are tangled up in the ropes here. We might need a restart if the fighters can't break free themselves.
