Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 15 - 18 - 0, fighting out of Helsinki, Skyler Nelson!
The judges for this bout are Colin Fotheringham, Andrew Berry and Phil Schofield.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Lankari looks for a takedown. He's got it. We're now in half guard.
Lankari sitting and controlling from the half guard.
Nelson is a painfully thin specimen of a man. You do wonder whether a good body kick would snap him clean in two.

Nelson is looking to sinch up a guillotine here but Lankari pulls his head out easily.
Lankari wants to pass the guard but Nelson is defending well.

Nelson looking to work for a kimura from the bottom.
Nelson is refusing to be controlled, as Lankari sits in half guard.

Lankari seems to be working for a kimura but Nelson defends the submission attempt.

Lankari moves into side control, avoiding a weak kimura attempt from Nelson.
Nelson tries to improve position but can't.
Nelson gets one leg under and gets the fight to half guard.

Lankari passes the guard and advances to mount!
We've been hearing good reports from Lankari's training camp. Apparently he has been rolling around with some good quality BJJ practitioners and has been sharpening his skills. Let's see if that has an impact on the fight today.
The fighters are trapped in the ropes so we're going to have a reposition here. The ref calls for a break and repositions the fighters in the center of the ring.
Lankari wants to take his opponent's back but Nelson doesn't allow it.
Nelson is looking to improve his position but Lankari isn't that keen on the idea.

That's two minutes gone in the round.
Lankari can't quite control the action as he would like just now, as Nelson is looking to escape.

Lankari working to secure an arm triangle but it's not happening for him just yet.
Nelson sneaks a leg back under and regains half guard and is working straight away to try and get back to guard. He hasn't managed just yet though.
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.

Lankari works his foot free and advances to mount.
Lankari manages to capitalize on a mistake by Nelson to take his back!

Lankari is working for the choke. It looks like he might have got it... has he...? Yes! Nelson is tapping out! This one is all over!

After winning the bout, Hans Lankari thanked all his fans and promised he'd do even better in his next fight. The crowd seemed to love his humility.
