Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Jakke Ruutu (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Orpo Jokinen (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Ruutu comes to the cage accompanied by 50 Cent - I'm Supposed to Die Tonight. These two fighters really are very evenly matched on the feet - it will be fascinating to see who can assert themselves in that aspect of the fight.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
12 - 3 - 0, fighting out of Amsterdam, Jakke Ruutu! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
11 - 4 - 0, fighting out of Helsinki, Orpo Jokinen! The judges for this bout are Johanna Lukiainen, Matti Vanhoillinen and Arvi Lind.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Ruutu cracks the inside of Jokinen's front leg. A low kick from Ruutu misses and Jokinen counters with a single leg into guard. Ruutu didn't expect that. Ruutu will need to keep those long limbs tucked in whilst he's on the ground, to prevent any submissions. We may be looking at a referee standup if the pace doesn't pick up soon. Jokinen works a leg free and moves into half guard. Jokinen stalling away here and it's allowed Ruutu to slip out his trapped foot and regain full guard. We could do with one of the fighters taking the initiative a bit more on the ground - they're both waiting to capitalize on a mistake. Jokinen wants to pass the guard but Ruutu is keeping the position. Ruutu has his foot on Jokinen's thigh. He's trying to push off and get in position for a triangle, I think. Jokinen works his way back into a safe position though.
That's one minute gone in the round. Ruutu looking for a sweep. Not yet Ruutu, not yet. Jokinen wants to pass the guard but Ruutu is keeping the position. Ruutu working a defensive guard here.

That's two minutes gone in the round. Ruutu is working an open guard here, looking to improve his position. No doubt that will leave him open to counters but at least he's being more offensive.
Jakke Ruutu has forced the referee to step in and bring the fight back to the feet. Ruutu's corner calls for a 1-2. Ruutu obliges with the 1 part as he scores the single shot and moves back out of range. Jakke Ruutu is looking to keep the fight on the feet at all costs. Ruutu uses good footwork to avoid the strikes from Jokinen. Jokinen takes a head kick and keeps coming.

and Jokinen counters with a shoot takedown into half guard. Ruutu is trying to get back to full guard. Ruutu desperately trying to maintain half guard. Jokinen passes to side control.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Jokinen working away. Jokinen looking for an arm triangle but it's way too loose to do anything. I wouldn't like to be where Ruutu is right now. Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show! As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action. Jokinen wants to control for a moment but Ruutu uses the opportunity to move back to half guard. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Orpo Jokinen dominated that round. That's time! Ruutu's corner gives him a slap on the ass as he gets ready to fight.
Boom, another hit is landed. "You're gunna get knocked out" taunts Ruutu, as that shot connected.
Ruutu misses with a looping left. Ruutu fakes low and throws an overhand right that catches Jokinen on the side of the head. A bone on bone clash there as Jokinen blocks the leg kick.
Ruutu connects nicely with a jab. Noted by the judges no doubt. Jokinen attempts a leg kick but it's missed by a good margin. Jokinen misses with an attempted mid kick.
Ruutu fakes a head punch and goes low to the body. Nicely done. Jokinen throws a right and a left that Ruutu avoids nicely. Jokinen moves his head to the side to avoid a jab but walks straight into a cross. Ruutu swings for the body but Jokinen moves out of range.
That's one minute gone in the round. Ruutu throws the left hand but Jokinen avoids the punch easily. Ruutu scores with a big left there. The judges will like that one. Ruutu thows a leg kick but Jokinen checks it and Jokinen counters with a takedown into side control! That could mean trouble for Ruutu! Orpo Jokinen has got the better of the ground game so far. Jokinen working away. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Ruutu tries to improve position but can't. Jokinen goes for an armbar here - this could be all over! But no, Ruutu has escaped beautifully and is now on top in side control! Oh, that's unlucky for Jokinen but great work by Ruutu. Jokinen sneaks a leg under to get back to half guard. Well, if Ruutu is going to just lie there, perhaps we should talk about what we're having for dinner tonight… I'm having a ham and pineapple pizza… Yum. Can't wait.

That's two minutes gone in the round. Ruutu prevents Jokinen from improving his position. Jokinen looking for submissions from an awkward position here. Ruutu is looking to take a break and control but Jokinen is keeping him honest, looking to work from the bottom.
That's three minutes gone in the round. We've had a lack of effective grappling in the last minute or so, which could well see a referee standup.
The referee decides to stand the fighters back up, due to lack of activity on the part of Jakke Ruutu. A jab from Ruutu misses. Jokinen lands with a slapping head kick. Ruutu misses with a low kick. Ruutu tries to close the distance and clinch up but Jokinen swats him away and circles back towards the center. Ruutu scores with a jab. A big right from Ruutu misses. Ruutu scores with a sloppy punch to the body. Not much technique there but it did the business. Ruutu cracks Jokinen with a nice right hand that draws applause from the crowd. Ruutu fakes a couple of low kicks, before throwing one on the third attempt. It connects and Jokinen has to reset his feet before getting ready to engage. Ruutu throws out a loose jab but Jokinen uses good head movement to avoid it.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Ruutu connects with a right hand. Jokinen shakes it off. Ruutu pivots, looking for a leg kick but Jokinen is out of range and Ruutu settles back down. The crowd are loving this. Great action here. Jokinen avoids a low kick by using good footwork. Jokinen has his front leg slapped to the side - a nice low kick landing there from Ruutu. That was a close second round but I would say that Jakke Ruutu will probably get the nod. Well, the break between rounds is over. Let's get back to the scrappin! This is the final round!
Ruutu takes a swing at Jokinen's ribcage but misses. Ruutu ducks down and throws a hook to the body but Jokinen moves away. Jokinen misses with an attempted mid kick.

Ruutu thows a body shot but no joy. Ruutu lands a straight punch to the body, keeping Jokinen at a distance.
Jokinen tries to score a power double leg takedown but Ruutu sees that one coming and sprawls well. That will dishearten Jokinen somewhat. Jokinen keeping at a good range here, avoiding a leg kick.
Ruutu stalks Jokinen and leaps in with a furious combination of punches. Uppercuts and crosses smash into Jokinen's face. Jokinen staggers backwards, shaken. Ruutu throws a nice inside leg kick.
That's one minute gone in the round. Jokinen moves out of range of the body kick from Ruutu.
Ruutu fakes with the hands and throws a leg kick but Jokinen is out of range. Ruutu throws a monster uppercut resembling something out of street fighter but it doesn't land. Jokinen uses good footwork to avoid the strikes from Ruutu. Jakke Ruutu is winning the standup battle so far. Ruutu waving his hands out in front of him, looking to distract Jokinen. Jakke Ruutu seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout. Ruutu buckles his opponent's knee momentarily with a nice leg kick.
Jokinen darts in trying to clinch and Jokinen takes a counter punch right on the button for his troubles. It looks like Ruutu has been trying to sharpen up his punching technique, as it looks crisper than last time we saw him. A jab from Ruutu finds it's way through Jokinen's defenses. Jokinen connects with a body shot. Ruutu is using his height advantage well here, landing a good percentage of his punches. Ruutu lands a nice looking body shot.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Jokinen misses with a two punch combination.
Jokinen takes a punch to the jaw and another one to the bread basket. Ruutu clobbers Jokinen with an overhand right that has the crowd gasping. That made a horrendous noise. Jokinen displays some good footwork, moving neatly out of range as Ruutu throws out the jab. That's three minutes gone in the round. A nice leg kick lands there from Jokinen. Jokinen tries to clinch up. Jokinen avoids a low kick by using good footwork. Ruutu is using his reach advantage well here, landing the more effective single shots from range. Ruutu's jab looks to have found its range, popping Jokinen under the eye. Ruutu does a little shimmy and throws a leg kick. The leg kick missed by a considerable margin though, making him look a little bit silly for doing the shimmy. Jokinen is looking for a takedown here. He's shot in and has managed to get it, finishing up in Ruutu's half guard. Jokinen wants to free his trapped foot but Ruutu is holding on for dear life with his legs. Jokinen is looking for a kimura. It's pretty deep but Ruutu still has the half guard so he's probably OK. Oh, Ruutu has exploded into a beautiful escape there and after a quick scramble, he's ended up in side control on top! Nice work!
That's four minutes gone in the round. Jokinen is not content to let Ruutu control the position. Jokinen regains half guard. As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action. Ruutu is looking for a kimura but he's never going to get it from there. The referee calls for the fighters to work.
And that's the end of the fight! Jakke Ruutu showed his dominance in that final round. I think Ruutu has won this one but let's see what the judges have to say. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
