Coming up we have a super heavyweight MMA rules bout between Arlen Randall (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and John Anderson (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Fingers crossed for an exciting fight - I'm sure both fighters are looking for a nice under the table bonus!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the super heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 2 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Hilo, Arlen Randall!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 2 - 3 - 0, fighting out of Hilo, John Anderson!
The judges for this bout are Ryoma Takatsuka, Roger Salmon and Micheangelo Fripello.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
A telegraphed takedown attempt from Anderson is defended easily by Randall.
Anderson looks really tired already! That doesn't bode well for a good, competitive fight!
Nice takedown defense from Randall. No joy for Anderson on that attempt.
Randall throws a combination but comes up with nothing but fresh air.

Randall decides to change it up a bit and drives through with a nice takedown into half guard.
The referee wants the fighters to be more active or he's going to reset them on the feet.
Randall content to control rather than advance.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

Anderson throws a looping overhand right but Randall ducks down to avoid it.

Randall fakes with an overhand right and moves in to clinch with Anderson, pushing him back against the cage.

Randall breaks the clinch and we return to the middle of the mat.

Randall throws a loose over hand right and dives in with a double leg takedown. Anderson tries to sprawl but it's too late and the fighters hit the mat. Randall is in Anderson's guard.

Randall stands up and waves to Anderson to follow him.
Randall is trying hard to land a takedown here. Anderson sprawls well and keeps this one on the feet.
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.

Horrible takedown by Randall or perhaps it was just good defense by Anderson which made him look bad.

Randall tries to bum rush Anderson with a series of wild strikes but Anderson uses good footwork to avoid the assault.

and Randall counters with a solid body kick.
Randall throws a looping left and ducks down for a takedown. He's got his arms around Anderson's waist but Anderson gets an underhook and avoids the takedown by throwing Randall off to one side.

Randall gets control of Anderson's arms and successfully pulls guard. Randall will no doubt be looking for submissions off his back.
Anderson postures up and lands some nice ground and pound.
Anderson pushes down on Randall's leg and manages to get into half guard.

Arlen Randall is fighting for a decision here - he's started to take the cautious approach.
Randall shoots in with a takedown attempt and he has Anderson pinned against the cage. Anderson gets the underhooks and manages to circle away.

And that's the end of the fight!
I would just about give that final round to John Anderson.
Well Randall has outscored his opponent in every aspect of the fight today. Only a scarily incompetent judge or two will keep him from a well deserved win... Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
