Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.

The judges for this bout are Albert Achterberg, Saam Ante and Radbod Blank.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Burt shoots in looking for a takedown. Gumka tries to sprawl out of it but Burt keeps driving through. The fighters are pinned against the cage. Gumka manages to get underhooks and after a bit of a struggle, circles away and we're back to standing.
Gumka looks really tired already! That doesn't bode well for a good, competitive fight!
Burt forces Gumka back against the cage and clinches.
Burt misses with some punches.

Burt manages to break the clinch.
Burt misses with a takedown attempt. He shot from a bit too far out.
Gumka misses with a series of wild punches.
Burt throws a combination but comes up with nothing but fresh air.
Burt changes levels and looks for a double leg takedown. Gumka tries to avoid it but Burt manages to keep hold of a leg and drag Gumka to the ground. Gumka escapes though and pops straight back up to his feet.

Gumka stuffs a takedown. It's all about dictating where the fight takes place and Gumka wants it to stay on the feet.

Gumka throws the overhand right but ducks down into a quick takedown attempt. Burt was covering up waiting for the punch and Gumka finishes the takedown easily into guard.
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!

Burt dives in and grabs Gumka's left leg, looking for a takedown. Gumka pushes down on Burt's head and hops out.

Burt drives through with a really nice takedown into side control.
The crowd applaud the fighters efforts here as the round comes to an end.

That was a close round. You could make an argument for either fighter but I would give it to Daryl Burt.
Well Burt has outscored his opponent in every aspect of the fight today. Only a scarily incompetent judge or two will keep him from a well deserved win... Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
