0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of London, Fujimoto Taiki! The judges for this bout are William Gold, Richard Clark and Daniel Bishop.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Wharf feints and as Taiki raises his hands in defense, Wharf changes levels and drives through with a takedown into guard. Taiki is looking to sweep but instead, Wharf has passed into half guard.

The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Wharf is working for a kimura but Taiki is defending it quite comfortably.
Wharf wants to pass the guard but Taiki is defending well. Taiki tries to roll over but Wharf keeps him under control. Taiki really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Wharf. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out. Still in half guard, Wharf seems content to control. Taiki must be cautious of submissions here, given that his opponent has the superior Jiu Jitsu. This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff! Wharf is looking for a triangle but Taiki pushes his legs off easily.

Taiki doesn't seem that keen to cooperate though. No luck this time Wharf. The fighters are battling for position here. Taiki manages to regain full guard. Nice work.
