Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the lightweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 2 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Rickie Bright!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Jose Reyes!
The judges for this bout are Wesley Smith, George Francis and Daniel Franklin.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Reyes gets tackled into the cage by Bright. Bright maintains the clinch.
Bright is trying to break free.

Reyes manages to pull guard. Let's see whether he can land a sub off his back.
Bright tries to stand but Reyes is controlling from the bottom.
Bright wants to stand and escape but instead Reyes has hit a sweep and he's now on top in guard.

The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Bright is working an open guard here, looking to improve his position. No doubt that will leave him open to counters but at least he's being more offensive.

The ref stands the fighters back up, due to lack of action by Jose Reyes.

and Bright moves into the clinch.

and Bright counters with a nice shoot takedown that brings the fighters to the ground.
Bright would like to get this fight back to the feet but can't get free from the closed guard.

Bright winds up and cracks Reyes with a swinging punch to the side of the head.

Reyes tries to drive through with a takedown attempt but Bright defends well and Reyes ends up having to push Bright into the cage where they will battle it out in the clinch.

The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Reyes trying to control the position from guard on top but Bright is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can.

Bright throws his legs up looking to secure a triangle. Oh, that looks pretty tight, I gotta say! Reyes escapes and throws Bright's legs to the side, diving into side control!

Reyes is looking for the mount but instead finds himself back in full guard.
Bright on his back here. We all know that wrestlers don't like being on their back so let's see if Bright tries to get out of the position.
Reyes wants to pass the guard but Bright is keeping the position.

Bright is avoiding any damage by keeping wrist control.
