Coming up we have a featherweight MMA rules bout between Sanouk Fairtex (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Jonah Roncesvalles (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Roncesvalles has chosen Walk as his entrance music. Over to our ring announcer for the fighter introductions!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the featherweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 21 - 9 - 0, fighting out of Amsterdam, Sanouk Fairtex!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 19 - 12 - 0, fighting out of New York, Jonah Roncesvalles!
The judges for this bout are Steve Montenegro, Chad Campbell and Bruno Lombardi.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Roncesvalles misses with a takedown attempt - Fairtex sprawls well and throws a nice strike on the way out which just misses.
Roncesvalles looks really tired already! That doesn't bode well for a good, competitive fight!

Roncesvalles looking to shoot here. He's gone for it and he's landed a takedown into side control! Oh, that's bad for Fairtex!
Fairtex pushes Roncesvalles away and creates a bit of space to escape. He's almost out here... but no, Roncesvalles gets a good hold of his legs and remains firmly in side control.

Roncesvalles can't quite control the action as he would like just now, as Fairtex is looking to escape.

Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.

Roncesvalles is stalling here. Fairtex is in no mood to hang around though. He's locked up a kimura from the bottom! Roncesvalles seems to be keeping calm but he's forced to roll out of the hold and Fairtex has ended up in side control on the top. Nice work.

Fairtex decides to stand back up. Fairtex steps back and let's Roncesvalles get back to his feet.
Horrible takedown by Roncesvalles or perhaps it was just good defense by Fairtex which made him look bad.

A telegraphed takedown attempt from Roncesvalles is defended easily by Fairtex.
Jonah Roncesvalles seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Roncesvalles shoots for a double leg takedown but Fairtex sprawls well. He's pushed Roncesvalles's face into the mat and manages to get back to his feet relatively easily.
The crowd applaud the fighters efforts here as the round comes to an end.

That's the end of the interval. I'm sure that seemed a lot quicker than a minute for our two fighters! Back to the action. Ladies and gentlemen, this is the final round!

Roncesvalles closes the distance and gets a double leg, slamming Fairtex to the mat! Fairtex manages to get full guard.
Sanouk Fairtex overall seems to be getting the better of the ground position in the fight so far.

Fairtex kicks Roncesvalles off and gets to his feet.
Fairtex avoids the clinch attempt nicely.

Roncesvalles dives in and grabs Fairtex's left leg, looking for a takedown. Fairtex pushes down on Roncesvalles's head and hops out.

and Fairtex decides to take the opportunity to score a takedown. He's landed in Roncesvalles's guard.
We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!
Fairtex wants to get up but he can't break Roncesvalles's closed guard. He needs to be careful trying to break the legs open, as he's open to submissions here.
