Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Jax Morrow (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Chapa Coco (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). The atmosphere really building for this one as we go over to our ring announcer for the fighter introductions!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 5 rounds, in the welterweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 9 - 12 - 0, fighting out of Los Angeles, Chapa Coco!

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Coco slips a jab from Morrow.
Morrow throws a series of punches but Coco avoids them all with ease.
Coco on the wrong end of a vicious looking body shot.

Morrow rushes Coco and presses him up against the cage.

Morrow breaks the clinch and we return to the middle of the mat.
Morrow slips in close and lands a nice hook before moving back out of range.

Morrow moves into range and clinches up with Coco.
Coco is trying to break the clinch but Morrow has him pressed against the cage.

Morrow's corner calls for him to break the clinch, which he does.
Coco shoots in but doesn't get the takedown
and Morrow counters with a straight right hand.
Coco takes a big uppercut there. He seems a bit wobbly but no, he's OK.
The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here.
Morrow connects nicely with a jab. Noted by the judges no doubt.
Coco on the wrong end of a nice hook.
Morrow stooping low to avoid any incoming strikes and then lunges in with an uppercut come cross that lands flush.

No joy there for Morrow, who threw a few shots but didn't land.

Morrow gets to the clinch - let's see what his plan is here.
Morrow lands on the inside with an uppercut.
A short body shot lands from Morrow as the two fighters clinch.

Morrow breaks the clinch and we're back to striking at distance.
Morrow connects with a slap. Keep your fist closed son.
Morrow stooping low to avoid any incoming strikes and then lunges in with an uppercut come cross that lands flush.
Morrow pulls out of a head kick attempt.
Coco needs to keep his hands up - Morrow had a free shot at his head there.
Morrow cracks a nice hook into Coco's ribs.
We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!

Morrow moves into range and clinches up with Coco.
Coco is working for a takedown up against the cage. He can't get it on this occasion though.

Morrow's corner calls for him to break the clinch, which he does.
Morrow swings wildly with a right hand that was never going to find it's target.
Morrow lunges in with swinging rights and lefts but Coco circles away quickly and effectively.

That's two minutes gone in the round.
Good shot there by Morrow.

Morrow pushes Coco up against the cage in a clinch.

Morrow breaks the clinch.
Morrow throws a right and a left that both miss.
Jax Morrow is looking to keep the fight on the feet at all costs.
Morrow swings for the body but Coco moves out of range.
Coco closes the distance and takes a jab right on the nose as he does so.

It looks like Chapa Coco has been cut.
Coco has his hands up protecting his head but a hook from Morrow finds it's way round the side to connect with Coco's head.
Coco slips a jab and a cross from Morrow.
Morrow lands three nice shots there - that looked like it hurt!
Morrow misses with a left hand

and Coco counters with a nice shoot takedown that brings the fighters to the ground.
The referee is pacing around the two fighters - he looks like he's thinking about a standup.
Morrow looking to control.
Morrow manages to land a sweep and now he's in mount on top!

Morrow gets to his feet and calls his opponent to stand. Here come the fireworks!

Morrow lands with a nice combination. Coco backs away looking to recover.

Morrow moves into the clinch.
A quick uppercut on the inside from Morrow.
Coco is trying to drag Morrow to the mat but Morrow just about manages to keep his footing. He used the cage to his advantage there.
Jax Morrow has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Chapa Coco.
Coco goes for a takedown attempt but Morrow pushes him away and we're back to fighting at a distance.
Morrow lands a jab.
Morrow is really peppering his opponent's head with punches.
Coco has his front leg slapped to the side - a nice low kick landing there from Morrow.
Coco stumbles momentarily as he takes a strong leg kick from Morrow.

Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.

Morrow breaks the clinch.
Morrow scores with a jab to the jaw of his opponent.
Morrow lands a jab followed by a nice looking cross.
Morrow cracks Coco with a right hand to the side of the head.

Coco is rocked!

That has opened up Chapa Coco's cut even more.
Morrow circles and sees the opportunity to plant his feet and throw a really nice straight left hand that drops Coco to the canvas! Coco doesn't know where he is but he's trying to survive - Morrow keeps piling on the pressure and forces the referee to step in! This one is aaaaaall over!

Ladies and gentlemen, after 4:35 of round 1, we have a winner by way of TKO (Strikes). Jax Morrow!
