PBP Commentary

Coming up we have a bantamweight MMA rules bout between Darrell Watts (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Kajin Hitigaki (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Well, the cameraman is lingering on a pretty young lady for a bit too long there. Keep your eyes on the prize buddy or you'll miss the fighter intros!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the bantamweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.

The judges for this bout are Yukihiro Shimada, Yuuki Gou and Tatsuya Matsuyama.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Hitigaki shoots for a takedown but Watts saw that one coming a mile off and avoided it easily.
Hitigaki wants to land a leg kick but Watts is out of range.
Watts leaves Hitigaki with his face pressed against the mat as he sprawls beautifully, defending against a solid takedown attempt.

Hitigaki tries to land with a swinging hook to the body but Watts was well out of range. Poor timing from Hitigaki.

Hitigaki shoots in for a takedown from distance. He catches Watts napping and manages to drive through into side control!
We may be looking at a referee standup if the pace doesn't pick up soon.
Hitigaki wants to control but Watts is keeping him busy.

The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Watts is trying to escape the position but Hitigaki is controlling the position.
Hitigaki lands a nice forearm strike.

Watts really does look like a pencil wearing a pair of gloves. Let's hope he has a gameplan to suit that ridiculous body shape.

Watts wants to get back to his feet but Hitigaki drags him back down.

Watts manages to work his way to half guard, despite Hitigaki's best efforts.
Watts has no desire to be mounted, so is trying to control. Hitigaki is working away from the top position though.

Hitigaki is looking for an arm triangle, whilst trying to pass to side control. Watts doesn't seem that keen to cooperate though. No luck this time Hitigaki.
Well, if Hitigaki is going to just lie there, perhaps we should talk about what we're having for dinner tonight… I'm having a ham and pineapple pizza… Yum. Can't wait.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

Hitigaki is just content to waste time from the top position. Watts takes advantage of the situation and regains full guard.
Watts manages to sweep nicely, so he's now on top. Hitigaki manages to get himself to full guard.
Hitigaki is looking to get back to his feet but can't, whilst Watts is controlling him.
Hitigaki is trying to control the position from the bottom.

Hitigaki might have to switch it up a bit here because his efforts to control Watts haven't been going to plan, at least at the current moment in time.

Watts throws a sloppy head kick and Hitigaki moves out of range easily.
A looping hook to the body misses from Hitigaki. Watts does a little dance to reset his feet.

Watts uses good footwork to avoid the strikes from Hitigaki.
Watts lands a jab, followed by a cross and another cross, as Hitigaki backs up against the cage.
Watts throws a head kick that misses.
Watts has his takedown stuffed
and Hitigaki counters with a nice uppercut.
Hitigaki lands with a good body shot.

Watts is rocked!

Hitigaki stands up from half guard.
Oh Watts is still all over the place! His legs are completely gone! Will he be able to recover?!!
The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here.
Hitigaki throws a jab to the body, straight down the pipe. Boom. That sent Watts stumbling backwards but he manages to regain his composure quickly.
Watts walks straight into a right hand from Hitigaki - that's dropped him! Hitigaki jumps into mount and starts pounding away - can he finish?! More strikes go undefended and the referee has to dive in to save Watts from any more punishment! Watts complains about the stoppage but falls over as he tries to stand back up, so it was clearly a good stoppage.

Ladies and gentlemen, after 0:55 of round 2, we have a winner by way of TKO (Punches). Kajin Hitigaki!
