Coming up we have a bantamweight MMA rules bout between Al Hammond (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Wendel Freitas (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). The key to victory for Al Hammond has got to be keeping the fight on the feet.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the bantamweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
1 - 3 - 0, fighting out of Rio de Janeiro, Al Hammond! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Rio de Janeiro, Wendel Freitas! The judges for this bout are Seu Braga, Leandro Rodrigues and Daniel Cesar.
 The bell rings for round one and we are underway! A head kick by Hammond misses and Freitas counters with a good low kick that Hammond was not able to check. Hammond dives in for a single leg takedown but Freitas sprawls and the fighters end up clinched against the cage. Freitas is defending well against a takedown attempt.
Hammond has moved round to his opponent's back and is looking for a suplex! Oh snap! He's tossed Freitas clear over his head and slammed him to the mat! The referee must be thinking about standing these guys back up. Freitas wants to escape the position.
Freitas trying to control but he's just got himself in more trouble.
Freitas defends a rear naked choke attempt by controlling one of Hammond's arms. Hammond doesn't have the hooks in and Freitas manages to turn into his guard.
Hammond really does look like a pencil wearing a pair of gloves. Let's hope he has a gameplan to suit that ridiculous body shape.
 That's one minute gone in the round. Freitas trying to control the position from guard on top but Hammond is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can. Freitas is frustrating his opponent with some stalling tactics from top position. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
 That's two minutes gone in the round.
 The ref stands the fighters back up. Wendel Freitas was stalling too much, according to the referee. Freitas fails with a takedown attempt from distance. Hammond closes this distance looking for a takedown but Freitas circles away. That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Al Hammond. That's going to take a lot out of him. Freitas shoots in but Hammond avoids the takedown attempt easily. Hammond fakes with the hands and throws a leg kick but Freitas is out of range.
Hammond has Freitas up against the cage in a clinch.
Hammond is pressed up against the cage. Freitas has hold of a leg and is looking to drag Hammond down to the mat. Hammond avoids the attempt though and has circled away. We're back to striking at a distance.
 That's three minutes gone in the round. Freitas checks a leg kick. Freitas displays good takedown defense there as he swats away a double leg from Hammond. Hammond fails with a takedown attempt. Hammond throws a head kick that misses. Freitas shoots in with a takedown attempt and he has Hammond pinned against the cage. Hammond gets the underhooks and manages to circle away. A really sloppy takedown attempt there from Freitas.
 That's four minutes gone in the round. Hammond shoots in looking for a double leg takedown. Freitas defends it nicely. Hammond throws a right and a left that both miss. Nice takedown defense from Hammond. No joy for Freitas on that attempt.
Hammond clinches up with Freitas and pushes him back against the cage. Freitas is working for a takedown up against the cage. He can't get it on this occasion though. And that�s the end of the round � the fighters go back to their corners.
That was a close round but I would say that Al Hammond will probably get the nod. That's the end of the interval. I'm sure that seemed a lot quicker than a minute for our two fighters! Back to the action.

Hammond tests Freitas's chin there with a solid looking shot. Hammond looks frustrated there after his takedown attempt is stuffed easily. Freitas misses with a takedown attempt - Hammond sprawls well and throws a nice strike on the way out which just misses.
Hammond gets to the clinch - let's see what his plan is here.
 That's one minute gone in the round. Freitas keeps control of Hammond as he tries to wriggle out of the double underhooks. Hammond is stalling here.
Hammond jumps guard but Freitas turns him against the cage and keeps the fight standing.
Freitas decides to pull guard. Freitas keeping moving, preventing Hammond from controlling successfully.
Freitas is looking for a triangle but Hammond pushes his legs off easily.
Hammond wants to pass the guard but Freitas is keeping the position.
 That's two minutes gone in the round. Hammond trying to control but Freitas is working from the bottom. We may be looking at a referee standup if the pace doesn't pick up soon.
 We're going to have a standup here because Al Hammond wasn't active enough for the referee's liking. Hammond closes this distance looking for a takedown but Freitas circles away. That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Al Hammond. That's going to take a lot out of him.
Hammond rushes Freitas and presses him up against the cage.
 That's three minutes gone in the round. Hammond tries to pull guard but Freitas forces him back to his feet, against the cage. Freitas wants a takedown.
Hammond is trying to drag Freitas to the mat but Freitas just about manages to keep his footing. He used the cage to his advantage there. Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here. Hammond using the Thai plumb to throw knees but Freitas has his back arched nicely, preventing the strike.
Freitas is working on a single leg takedown against the cage. Hammond can't fight it off and eventually Freitas manages to take the fight to the floor. Hammond looks annoyed but at least he's managed to land in guard. Hammond knows he needs to get back to his feet asap. He's simply no match for Freitas on the ground. Freitas trying to control the position from guard on top but Hammond is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
 That's four minutes gone in the round. Hammond looking for a sweep. Not yet Hammond, not yet. Freitas looking to control the position here, rather than advance.
 OK we're going to have a standup here. Wendel Freitas hasn't been effective enough on the ground and the referee wants a restart. Hammond throws a sloppy head kick and Freitas moves out of range easily. And that�s the end of the round � the fighters go back to their corners.
That was a close second round but I would say that Al Hammond will probably get the nod. The minute break is over - no more time for sponges and pep talks - back to the action! This is the final round!
Freitas tries for a takedown but Hammond sees it coming a mile off and avoids it easily. No luck with that takedown attempt from Freitas.
Freitas gets the takedown into side control. Hammond is looking for a sweep. Hammond struggling a bit here. Freitas wants to lay and pray for a moment but Hammond keeps working. Hammond is looking for a sweep.

 Wendel Freitas has forced the referee to step in and restart the fight on the feet. Freitas wants to clinch. Hammond dips down and scores with a jab to the body. Freitas shoots in for a takedown - he's clinched up with Hammond but Hammond pushes him off and we're back to square one. Al Hammond has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Wendel Freitas. Hammond feints a jab promting Freitas to slip. Hammond then demonstrates his capabilities by jabbing again. Freitas slips again and ducks right into an uppercut.
 That's two minutes gone in the round. A telegraphed takedown attempt from Hammond is defended easily by Freitas. Hammond ducks down and throws a hook to the body. Freitas dives in for a single leg takedown but Hammond sprawls and the fighters end up clinched against the cage. Hammond is trying to work out of this bad position, with his back against the cage. Hammond wants to push off and get back to the center of the mat but Freitas has him pressed against the cage. Hammond tries to break the clinch but Freitas is controlling the position.
 That's three minutes gone in the round. Hammond is trying to break free. Hammond tries a knee to the head but he's missed.
Freitas drops down for a takedown but doesn't get it.
Freitas has double underhooks and is working for a body lock takedown. He's got it. The fighters land in half guard but Hammond regains guard immediately. Freitas takes a big intake of breath there - he's definitely tired. Hammond is trying to control the position but Freitas postures up.
 That's four minutes gone in the round. Freitas trying to control but Hammond is working from the bottom. We must be close to a standup if these guys don't pick up the pace. Freitas's corner is telling him to maintain position.
 Wendel Freitas has forced the referee to step in and restart the fight on the feet. Hammond throws the kick towards the body but Freitas avoids it. Freitas closes the distance and clinches up with Hammond, looking for a takedown. Freitas pushes Hammond against the cage but Hammond circles to the side and manages to break the clinch. The crowd applaud the fighters efforts here as the round comes to an end. Hammond tries a head kick but it misses.
Wendel Freitas has stepped it up - he knows he needs a finish here! Al Hammond is fighting for a decision here - he's started to take the cautious approach. Hammond shoots in looking for a takedown. Freitas tries to sprawl out of it but Hammond keeps driving through. The fighters are pinned against the cage. Freitas manages to get underhooks and after a bit of a struggle, circles away and we're back to standing.
And that's the end of the fight! Wendel Freitas comfortably won the final round on my scorecard. I think Hammond has won this one but let's see what the judges have to say. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
