Coming up we have a featherweight MMA rules bout between Ambrose Chisholm (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Joey Sanderson (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Sanderson comes into a darkened arena with his song building. Radioactive-Imagine Dragons kicks in, the lights come on and the crowd goes wild! What a showman! Both fighters look fresh as a daisy as they make their way towards the cage.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the featherweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of New York, Ambrose Chisholm! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
1 - 3 - 0, fighting out of New York, Joey Sanderson! The judges for this bout are Jonathan Paton, Russell Pearce and Chad Campbell.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Chisholm moves into range and lands a nice body kick.
Sanderson closes the distance and scores a nice trip takedown into half guard. Chisholm did well to prevent Sanderson getting side control. Sanderson performing his best blanket impression for a moment. Chisholm tries to roll over but Sanderson keeps him under control. Chisholm pushes Sanderson off looking to stand but Sanderson dives back in and keeps control.
Sanderson is trying a forearm choke… I don't think that's going to do much at this level of the game.
Chisholm knows he needs to get back to his feet asap. He's simply no match for Sanderson on the ground. Sanderson slows the pace down in half guard. Sanderson postures up and decides to stand up, from the half guard. The ref calls for Chisholm to stand up. The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here. Chisholm throws the kick towards the body but Sanderson avoids it. A momentary lapse in concentration from Chisholm enables Sanderson to shoot in and score with a neat double leg. Chisholm manages to secure a closed guard as the fighters hit the mat. Sanderson gets to his feet and steps away from his opponent.
That's one minute gone in the round. Sanderson pushes Chisholm away with a front kick. Chisholm throws a leg kick that is checked and Sanderson counters with a three punch combination, finished off with a leg kick. Nice work. Sanderson tries to close the distance and clinch but Chisholm swats him to one side with an open hand palm strike and circles away. Sanderson chopped to the floor by a nice leg kick but he springs right back up before Chisholm can pounce on him.

Chisholm lands a leg kick. The shin dug right into the meat of the thigh. A head kick by Chisholm misses and Sanderson counters with a body kick that stops Chisholm in his tracks momentarily. Sanderson feints and as Chisholm raises his hands in defense, Sanderson changes levels and drives through with a takedown into guard. Chisholm wants to hit a switch here but Sanderson passes into full mount! Oh no, disaster for Chisholm there! Chisholm tries to reverse the position but Sanderson maintains control. Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show! Chisholm in a bad spot here, taking shots to the head. Chisholm is not a happy chappy… he wants out of there.
Chisholm is breathing heavily. Chisholm tries to lock up and control but Sanderson gives him a forearm to the face and pushes him away.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Sanderson sitting in mount, just looking to control for the moment. Chisholm is writhing around trying to get back to his feet. Sanderson controlling the position easily from mount. Chisholm wants to control but Sanderson is having none of it. Chisholm is desperately trying to improve his position but Sanderson has a good base and remains in mount. Sanderson tucks in and makes sure he doesn't lose the dominant position. Chisholm in a bad spot here, taking shots to the head.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Sanderson controlling his opponent. Chisholm is flailing around, obviously not happy about being mounted. Sanderson locks hold of one of his arms and spins for an armbar. He's got it! Chisholm is forced to tap!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 3:34 of round 1, we have a winner by way of Submission (Armbar). Joey Sanderson! Joey Sanderson was full of energy after the big win and talked about how he thinks he can do big things in this sport. The crowd were appreciative of his determination to succeed.
