Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between Tommy Martinez (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Lim Yo Hwan (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Martinez comes to the cage accompanied by Country Grammar. On his way into the cage it seems that Tommy Martinez has been attacked by a crazed fan! It looks like it might have been the just bleed guy! Luckily Tommy Martinez seems to be OK! I thought that lunatic was in prison!?

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the heavyweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
4 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Los Angeles, Tommy Martinez! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
6 - 2 - 0, fighting out of New York, Lim Yo Hwan! The judges for this bout are , Timothy Bukovac and Frank Antenori.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Martinez tries a switch kick but it misses it's target. Martinez misses with a half-hearted attempt at a head kick.
Martinez pulls out of a head kick attempt.
Yo Hwan blocks a head kick by Martinez.
Martinez scores with a head kick. Yo Hwan tried to block it but didn't get his arm up in time. Martinez has been working on his boxing with his coaches at Full Affliction Fight Team in the buildup to the fight. A head kick misses from Martinez. A head kick misses from Martinez. Yo Hwan has his front leg slapped to the side - a nice low kick landing there from Martinez. Martinez feints and then dives in with a takedown. That was a long way out but the feint bought him enough time to close the distance and complete the takedown. Now we'll play guard for a bit and see who can get the better of that position. The referee looks like he's ready to step in and stand the fighters back up. Martinez stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Yo Hwan swivels though and keeps the full guard. The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so! Yo Hwan working for a triangle but Martinez defends it easily.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Yo Hwan is looking for a triangle but Martinez pushes his legs off easily.
Yo Hwan working for submissions but it's allowed Martinez to get to half guard.
Yo Hwan really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Martinez. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out.
That's one minute gone in the round. Martinez is trying to work for a kimura but Yo Hwan is defending well.
Yo Hwan is looking to regain full guard. Not this time though. Martinez is looking for a kimura here.
Martinez slows the pace down in half guard. Martinez is looking to advance position but Yo Hwan won't allow it. Martinez is working for a kimura but Yo Hwan is defending it quite comfortably.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Martinez is trying to work for a kimura but Yo Hwan is defending well.
Martinez missing with the ground and pound from half guard. Yo Hwan looking for subs from the bottom but Martinez mounts him! The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Martinez controlling the pace for now. Yo Hwan has left one of his arms exposed and Martinez doesn't need a second invitation. He's isolated it and locked on a tight armbar. Yo Hwan screams and taps out, obviously in a lot of pain. Hopefully there isn't permanent damage to that arm.
Ladies and gentlemen, after 2:51 of round 1, we have a winner by way of Submission (Armbar). Tommy Martinez! Tommy Martinez bigged himself up after the win. The crowd seemed to love it.
