The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Myers shoots in for a takedown. He's persisting with it as Lose sprawls well. Lose wins this battle and keeps the fight standing. Myers gets slowly back to his feet.
Lose pivots, looking for a leg kick but Myers is out of range and Lose settles back down.
Myers fakes a strike and closes the distance, dragging Lose to the ground. Myers is now in Lose's guard.
The referee claps his hands together and tells the fighters to work.

Lose is staying active underneath Myers, who seems content to just control the action from this position.

Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.

Myers sneaks a leg back under and regains half guard and is working straight away to try and get back to guard. He hasn't managed just yet though.
Myers has no desire to be mounted, so is trying to control. Lose is working away from the top position though.

Myers is looking for a guillotine. You can't force these things though and Lose defends well.

It looks like Devin Myers has been cut.
Lose has his opponent pinned against the cage, landing some nasty ground and pound that is really making a bit of a mess out of Myers's face.
That has opened up Devin Myers's cut even more.
Myers tries to reverse the position but Lose maintains control.
Lose is still in mount, landing shots to his trapped opponent. Myers can't stay in a position like this for much longer.
The cut above Devin Myers's eye is starting to cause him problems now.
The referee calls the doctor in to look at Devin Myers's cut. Oh no, the doctor has called an end to the bout!

You Lose spent the whole post fight interview bigging himself up. It didn't go down that well with the fans after a while as they thought it was a bit arrogant.
