Coming up we have a featherweight MMA rules bout between Ambrose Sampson (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Cassius Clay (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Cassius Clay looks lathargic as he enters the arena. Wake up son, you're about to have a fight!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the featherweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 0 - 3 - 0, fighting out of Amsterdam, Ambrose Sampson!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 0 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Amsterdam, Cassius Clay!
The judges for this bout are Aafke Stam, Patrick Alders and Wagner Zegers.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Clay throws a jab, cross combination which is slipped
and Sampson counters with an outside leg kick.

Sampson looking for a takedown here - he's got it.
Sampson controls from within his opponent's guard.
Sampson stands and throws Clay's legs to the side, diving into side control.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Clay gives up the full mount - oops, sloppy defensive grappling there!

Sampson stands up from the dominant position. He obviously fancies his chances standing.

Sampson drives through and clinches with Clay against the cage.

Sampson breaks from the clinch.
Sampson shoots for a takedown but Clay saw that one coming a mile off and avoided it easily.

Sampson moves into the clinch.
The referee calls for Sampson to work.
Clay is trying to pull guard but Sampson turns him against the cage and we stay in the clinch.
Clay tries a body shot but Sampson blocks it.
Clay throws a nice elbow but it doesn't land.
Clay tries to stall but Sampson uses the opportunity to gain a better position.
Clay tries to land a shot to the body but it's blocked.
Clay tries to pull guard but Sampson won't allow it.
Clay looks winded!

Sampson breaks the clinch.
Crunch! Sampson slams his shin into Clay's torso.
Clay is looking to clinch.
Sampson really does look like a pencil wearing a pair of gloves. Let's hope he has a gameplan to suit that ridiculous body shape.
Sampson will have to do better than that with his takedown attempts.
Sampson shoots in for a takedown but Clay shows good takedown defense.

Clay really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Sampson. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out.

There's a bit of a scramble here and now Sampson is on top in guard.
Sampson won't allow Clay to sweep him here.

Sampson is working hard to pass the guard. He's done it - he's now in full mount! Trouble for Clay!

The fighters are starting to perspire pretty heavily.
Sampson is working for a guillotine from mount but Clay frees his head quite easily.
Clay is writhing around trying to get back to his feet.
As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.
Clay can't escape the position.
Clay tries to improve his position but instead Sampson has taken his back!
The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so!
What can Clay do to escape this position? He's going to have to figure it out pretty quick if he wants to stay in the fight!

Clay looks to land a combination. Sampson sees it coming but can only parry a couple of the shots.

Sampson shoots in looking for a takedown but Clay manages to keep the fight standing, pushing Sampson's face into the canvas for good measure before circling away.
Clay keeps the fight standing with a nice sprawl.

Clay shoots in with a takedown attempt and he has Sampson pinned against the cage. Sampson gets the underhooks and manages to circle away.

Clay connects with a looping left hand that seems like it dazed Sampson momentarily.
Clay takes a body punch that cleary hurt but he's trying not to show any weakness.
Ambrose Sampson seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Sampson shoots in looking for a takedown. Clay tries to sprawl out of it but Sampson keeps driving through. The fighters are pinned against the cage. Clay manages to get underhooks and after a bit of a struggle, circles away and we're back to standing.

Sampson manages to break the clinch.

Sampson clinches up against the cage.
Sampson manages to get underhooks and slows down the pace for a moment.
Clay wants to strike at distance but he can't break free of the clinch.
Sampson is trying to work for a single leg takedown but Clay pulls him back up using the underhooks.

Sampson lands a beautiful switch and he's in full mount! That could spell trouble for Clay!

Clay tries to hold on but Sampson pushes him away.

Sampson is standing up, even though he is in mount.
Sampson changes levels and looks for a double leg takedown. Clay tries to avoid it but Sampson manages to keep hold of a leg and drag Clay to the ground. Clay escapes though and pops straight back up to his feet.
The crowd applaud the fighters efforts here as the round comes to an end.

Well Sampson has outscored his opponent in every aspect of the fight today. Only a scarily incompetent judge or two will keep him from a well deserved win... Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
