Coming up we have a bantamweight MMA rules bout between Dileno Carneiro (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Luke Light (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Luke Light told me before the fight that he's been watching a lot of DVDs so let's see if that helps him in this one! I can't wait to find out!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the bantamweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
8 - 10 - 0, fighting out of St Petersburg, Dileno Carneiro! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
3 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Sydney, Luke Light! The judges for this bout are Damien Edna, Eliza Hachem and Donatello Bradman.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Nice sprawl there from Light as Carneiro shoots in. Light's coach down at Finch Farm was telling us pre-fight that they have been working on Light's balance. Obviously they view that as a key factor in the outcome of this fight. Light throws a series of strikes that have Carneiro backpedaling.
Light gets cracked with a nice right hand there by Carneiro. Light throws a combination that misses and Carneiro counters with a shoot takedown into half guard. Light wants to get back to full guard. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff! Light has no desire to be mounted, so is trying to control. Carneiro is working away from the top position though. Carneiro is working for a kimura but Light is defending it quite comfortably.
Light trying to get back to full guard but Carneiro takes advantage of the position and moves to full mount! Carneiro working for a guillotine from mount but Light is in no mood to give up.
That's one minute gone in the round. Light regains half guard. Carneiro moves nicely into side control. Carneiro thinks about going for a far side armbar but bails out and retains the dominant position instead. Carneiro tries for a kimura but Light is defending well. Light pushes Carneiro away and creates a bit of space to escape. He's almost out here... but no, Carneiro gets a good hold of his legs and remains firmly in side control.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Carneiro looking for an arm triangle but it's way too loose to do anything. Light wants to get back to his feet. Light really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Carneiro. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out. Carneiro thinks about going for a far side armbar but bails out and retains the dominant position instead. We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out! Light tries to get back to half guard but can't. Light manages to work his way to half guard, despite Carneiro's best efforts.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Carneiro stalling away here and it's allowed Light to slip out his trapped foot and regain full guard. Carneiro stops Light from standing up. Carneiro pressing down on his opponent's thigh, looking to pass guard. Light is keeping the position for now. Light keeping moving, preventing Carneiro from controlling successfully. Carneiro wants to pass the guard but Light is keeping the position. Carneiro stays in close to Light's body and controls the position.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Carneiro wants to pass the guard but Light is keeping the position. Carneiro wants to control from the top but Light keeps moving.
The ref stands the fighters back up because Dileno Carneiro just wasn't active enough. Light pulls out of a head kick attempt.
Light gets in close and instigates a clinch. Light prevents a takedown attempt there.
Carneiro jumps into guard, dragging Light to the mat.
As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action. Light got a little sloppy there for a moment and Carneiro has worked his way into a loose triangle - can he finish it?! No, Light has managed to get both his arms back between Carneiro's legs - danger averted. This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff! Light missing there with some ground and pound from the guard. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Dileno Carneiro dominated that round. The fighters' corners scream their final instructions, as the referee calls time. Here we go, back to the action!
Light moves into range and throws a lovely three punch combination. Carneiro dodges the punch combination from Light.
Carneiro with a poor takedown and Light counters with a nice uppercut. Light jabs at Carneiro's body. Carneiro showing good head movement there, avoiding the strikes from Light.
Light misses with a combination
and Light takes a counter punch right on the button for his troubles. Carneiro looks frustrated there after his takedown attempt is stuffed easily. Carneiro fails miserably with a takedown attempt. That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Dileno Carneiro. That's going to take a lot out of him. Carneiro slips a jab and a cross from Light.
That's one minute gone in the round. Light tries to bum rush Carneiro with a series of wild strikes but Carneiro uses good footwork to avoid the assault. Light misses with a series of wild punches.

Light is breathing heavily. Light swings away with a body shot that misses
and Carneiro counters with a takedown into side control! That could mean trouble for Light! Carneiro wants to lay and pray for a moment but Light keeps working. Carneiro is really struggling to control Light but he's trying to hold on to the position. Light regains half guard there - taking advantage of Carneiro's attempt to lay and pray for a moment. Carneiro has freed up his trapped foot and advances to mount.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Carneiro looking to control but Light is working nicely, looking to advance position himself. We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out! Light tries to reverse the position but Carneiro maintains control.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Carneiro looking for a guillotine from mount but Light is having none of it. Carneiro trying to control but Light is having none of it.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Carneiro is working for a guillotine from mount but Light frees his head quite easily.
Light is in a horrible position here, under a barrage of strikes, he's managing to avoid any damage.
Light can't escape the position.
Carneiro swings around for an armbar and he's got it! Wow, that came out of nowhere! What a finish!
